Game against the Scum

This morning on Sky Sports News, they spent the first 10 minutes of a report showing all kinds of goals scored by Utd against us down the years, even some at Old Trafford. Then, they moved onto the LFC point of view for a couple of minutes, and showed one poxy goal by Agger 3 years ago. Can see what way they're leaning.

I'm going to be that guy.......Sturridge scored that goal

Malaysian reds (@Y1) - I'll be arriving into Penang on the Monday night, will any local channels (that will be available in my hotel - the Eastin) be carrying the match or do I need to rely on a stream

The match will be available live on Astro. Not too sure if you'll be able to catch it in your room but 24 hour restaurants (Mamak) will be screening it. There are loads of those in Penang. You should be able to catch the game.

That's by the by, if it's a poll. ive never seen Liverpool lose any sort of vote ran by sky sports .

Edit: they've got the greatest goals on the site and a riise and Gerrard goal are comfortably ahead.

No club can have a bigger sky viewership than ours ,which is both surprising and disturbing

It wasn't a poll. It was a report showing the build up to the match - "Red Monday" (Yuck!) - and continually showed a load of Mancs burying goals against us. I've just had it on again and they showed Rooney's goal from last year three times in ten seconds.

While I've had it on today as I worked from home, I've seen:

Rooney's goal last year
Rooney's goal from about ten year's ago
Nani's goal at Old Trafford during some drubbing
Gary fucking Pallister bag two
Anthony Martial's greatest goal ever last year

And...

The one Sturridge goal from three years ago. That's the only Liverpool goal.

I'm not that arsed, like, and don't think there's some conspiracy involved, would just like a bit more balance.

Thanks bud

It's all over the media now. If anything he will be under severe pressure from his bosses not to fuck up, but if he does fuck up to make sure it is in our favour. It's not going to be a pleasant evening for Taylor, but fuck him, I'm quite pleased about the way this will play out.

Guys - he could be a Man City fan if we are lucky.

Always nice to get paid sick leave. 80% of my wage, excluding the first day. That's why you always take at least two days off when you're sick.
80%? Over here you get full pay, upto X amount of days. I don't know how many before it goes to statuary sick pay, but most good employers will offer up to six months to an established trusted employee.

Wow, that's great, but I'm talking about normal sick leave like if you get the flu or something. It's definitely not the same rules that apply if it's a work related injury or a serious sickness.

Yeah, so am I. Flu, stomach bug, etc, full pay. Of course there's also horrific zero hour contracts etc so loads of employees have no sick pay at all. However people with good jobs & decent employers don't get financially penalised at all for being sick.

I'm sure that if you have some sort of private insurance they'll probably cover the 20% you lose, but 80% is the standard according to Swedish law.

There has to be some type of limit on the amount of sick days you get full pay for in England?

Depends on the employer.

I get 5 months full pay followed by another 5 months half pay.

It was 6 and 6 but due to the tories they cut it a few years ago.

I was planning on working from home but I stupidly rescheduled a meeting to kickoff time. Would bin it but I'm running the meeting and have legitimate issues to resolve.

Typically I either work from home on weekday games or at least pull up a stream and put some ear buds in. Neither is an option for this of all games.

Well your only option is absolute radio silence it seems. Then go to reddit football highlights and watch the full game afterwards.

Yeah just going to record the match and watch when I get home. Will be tough because I have to take my boy to sports after work too. Have cleared the evening though to watch.

Really? It's 100% in Oz and I get 16 days a year, granted I've had 3 sick days in 8 years so have like 5 months sick leave
