Hugo Boss

The great thing with players that can play in a variety of roles and positions means that we can change and adapt to the opposition and in game.
Won’t be surprised to see Ekitike start out left in a 4-2-3-1 and then we change to a 4-2-2-2 i e if need be.

Alisson
Bradley Ibou Virgil Kerkez
Gravy Macca
Salah Wirtz
Isak Ekitike

Loads to be excited about if we mange to sign Isak as well

Konate doesn't really look like someone looking to leave in those clips, does he? I think he renews and we sign another defender regardless

I'm going full gay on this one. It's not the fashion in and of itself. The dude can look however he wants and he can suck dick or tag team cheerleaders in his spare time and I don't mind what he chooses, whatever. The big deal here for me is that if you buy a Louis Vuitton bag, you're a stupid fucking cunt trying to jam yourself into a hierarchy that only exists in the most pointless and vacuous of universes. There's nothing good about a Louis Vuitton bag. Nothing. They're shite. They look like something your nan used to have dipped in vomit dipped in shit and branded with a logo. There's no reason to buy one of those disgusting bags other than to show people you've bought one of those disgusting bags so that you can be in the gang of people that buys disgusting bags. Then you stick a fucking stupid doll to it that gives a nod to another pointless culture that you're appropriating, that doesn't even deserve appropriation. That's all fine. It's his choice, I'm not going to stop him, live and let live. Peace and harmony. I am allowed to say how fucking shit it is and talk about it though. If that makes me gay then I'm the gayest there is. Cos I do want to talk about it. These billionaires roll up to Anfield in their lambos and become adored from day one no matter how many goals they score or how many terrible bags they buy and I sit back and wonder about the discrepancy, the ratio of their earnings to the dudes who live in the streets around Anfield, who don't earn billions and even if they did wouldn't waste an average year's salary on a disgusting fucking bag because that would be disgusting and it would make you a twat. There's the line. Kid, Ekitike, you're a dick. You've displayed how much of a dick you are for all the world to see. At this point you need to score goals or fuck off, because you aren't and you never will be one of us. Fuck off. You and your fucking handbags. Maybe you don't care what people think. In which case why did you buy the disgusting fucking bag in the first place. Who are you trying to impress?
I agree with pretty much all of this.

He's young and clearly impressionable though and there's time for us as a Liverpool fanily to help him value different things.

Give him a chance...

The thing is that they live in a hermetically sealed fishbowl from a very young age. Throw in millions of pounds x hours of free time = someone who has no concept of anything.

Who cares what they wear, except for having a laugh every now and then.

Not sure about that at all TBH. On the contrary, we were hearing when Slot first arrived that he prefers his wingers to play wider than ours have generally been doing. That was one of the reasons some were putting forward when it was reported that we were considering signing Gordon.

That Adam Cleary dude suggests that Slot wants his FBs to provide the real width, allowing the wide forwards to get closer to the penalty box (like Salah does in particular, but with Kerkez, we should see Gakpo more regularly being in the Salah positions on the left). And so this idea of Ekitike being a viable inside left forward does make sense.

However, in the pre-season games, I'm not seeing Kerkez nor Bradley pulling out wide much; instead it's Salah and Gakpo who have been doing so (and then cutting in). Kerkez and Bradley seem to be the ones playing narrower.

On this Asian trip, I think only Frimpong in this game against Yokohama has truly been playing wide. Maybe it's because we've had to shift some of the full backs around with just two CBs at the moment. Or maybe I haven't been watching properly. 😀

Cough ... Kerkez! Cough ... Frimpong! Cough ... Bradley!

Yeah, I've only caught the second half against Yokohama so haven't seen enough either to judge, but Cleary did look at the patterns of player position over the whole of last season to come up with this hypothesis. Proof of the pudding will be in the eating.

Honestly, I thought Ekitike looked kinda shit yesterday. Definitely not like a £70 mill player

Preseason friendly, it will take time to adjust. Most players it takes half a season

No no, for Modo it only takes one session and 45 mins in pre season.

I mean come on. The guy should be on wave length with everyone by then.

first impressions are valid though too, darwin could barely control or pass the ball the first time i watched him play for us
