Post Match Leicester (A) 0-1 Sun 20th April 16:30

Great time for Trent to get his first left footed goal.

We played very well just unlucky with our finishing.

Hit the woodwork 4 times.

1 more result!!!

Another boring game which'll be forgotten about in a few hours, average performance all round.

A nice strike helped with a shit piece of keeping settles the game.

Oh and good luck in the championship next season Leicester.......not.

Trent buzzing his little tits off in that interview.

So many Dutch stories as sub text

RVN told Gakpo to go to Man U… didn’t age well
AS v RVN - former rivals and friends

And more..

Saw the interview - The AA family INC keep the fans guessing.

Guessing?

I thought it was a very clear "Goodbye forever and I've always loved you"

Hung his jersey on the corner flag symbolically too. One last triumphant moment with the fans.

So did we look bereft in attack? I didn't see the game but saw we rattled the post a few times.

We did - Mo hit the woodwork twice but not much other than that. We made hard work of it again. They had a goal disallowed that some refs might have given

I’ve rewatched the goal a good few times. We were so unlucky not to score twice before Trent got it in.

What caught my attention was the kick off by the Leicester players. Ok, they had a player down holding his head. There’s a few things here. Firstly, how quick it all happened. The ref wouldn’t be expected to pick that up. Secondly, his own keeper took him out. Third, he was holding the back of his head when there was no impact on the back of his head AND he took the chance to look up and see if the ball had been cleared before holding the back of his head.

No we cut them open several times and just couldn’t finish. Best attacking play in yonks. Gakpo was very good first half.
On another day we get 5-6.

We hit the woodwork 4 times, their keeper made 10 saves and we put a heap wide when well placed.

Seriously.

Mo had 3 or 4 chances similar to Trent's where if he had made a proper connection it would have been a goal.

Our finishing was poor and the keeper was his game.

Arne Slot is set to win the Premier League but at the same time knows he needs to make plenty of improvements within his squad this summer. One key acquisition will be a new striker. Darwin Núñez was not brought off the bench at Leicester despite Liverpool misfiring, Diogo Jota’s fitness is a constant concern and Luis Díaz, who started on Sunday, does not give off the impression of being a No 9. In tight matches, Mohamed Salah has often been the man to separate them from opponents. They had 28 shots at the King Power Stadium but needed a full-back to score the winner. Núñez will almost certainly depart Anfield to open up a spot for a superior No 9 but they do not come cheap. Plans will be afoot but they know they cannot get it wrong twice, having spent more than £80m on the Uruguayan who has never looked like delivering.

I didn't watch the game, but I heard from my friends it was a difficult game, until the changes were made in the last quarter of the game got the winning goal and three points. Some players weren't effective like Gakpo and Salah.
The club needs to build for next summer, after winning the league in style by beating Spurs, Arsenal, and Chelsea in the coming up games, to be worthy of a real Champion. Good Luck

We should’ve scored after 3 minutes. And pretty much every 15 minutes after that. We were just wasteful. We had 10 shots on target and some very very good ones. Even a few off target should’ve gone in.
Story of the season. We have a bunch of remarkably wasteful forwards. From the volume of chances we create, we should be blowing teams away but frequently find oursleves hanging on grimly because of a sucker punch or brainfade.
