Doesn't sound like much of a negotiation is going on judging by the newspaper piece. Seems like Castro is saying pay the asking price or no deal.

This lad must be shit hot if we're willing to pay up.

I wonder if that's all it is. They're quite capable of trying to increase an already agreed price at the last minute. Not saying this is what they've done, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit with that lot.

Either way, I agree with Peter - time to cut this whole thing loose and look elsewhere. Doing so would have the added advantage of putting the ball squarely back in Seville's court if in fact we still want the player.
 
If this was Sanchez or Lallana we were talking about I would just pay Seville the asking price.

But holding out for a young player your own fans don't rate is taking it a bit far
 
It will be great on here later if he does not look like the best LB in the world against Real Madrid. Especially after the Europa final.
 
If we're that interested get the bloody asking price paid and get him in for the start of the season. It's a false economy haggling over a couple of million quid if us being weaker costs us points.

I for one hope he handles the ball, scores an own goal, smashes Bale with a two footed lunge and for good measure sprains an ankle too...

Liverpool have agreed a fee with Sevilla for Alberto Moreno who is now expected to be pulled out of tonight's Super Cup game in Cardiff.

So we're upto:
Lambert - 4
Llama - 16 guaranteed
Can - 10
Lovren - 20
Origi - 10
Lazar - 20
Moreno - 12
(92)

Suarez - 75
Reina - 3
(78)

So we've got a net spend of 14mill (minus agent fees, signing on fees etc)

And if Borini/Assaidi/Kelly?/Agger?/Lucas? go we'll be a fair whack in profit.

FSG will not have had to put their hands in their pockets at all this rate this summer!
 
@GuillemBalague: Moreno had an irregular season. But you should know how hard Unai tried to keep him. Work in progress but can be a more solid LF than Alba
