Fair response. I don't really have any! Apart from Kerkez at LB, that is (provided we're satisfied he wants to come).

He's said in the past that he won't come to us. Can't remember if he gave reasons for that but it's on Youtube somewhere.

With Quansah struggling, I think we need a young CB too.

I reckon Quansah will be OK (it's easy to forget how young he still is) but I agree about another CB because JoeGo seems quite likely to...er...go.
He is still raw, which is not surprising given his age. He has regressed this season and needs minutes. I'm not sure we can afford to provide him with them and let him learn on the job. Ideally, he needs to go out on loan and prove himself elsewhere. But given our squad and needs, we are not in a position to do that.

He'll be a decent CB, and if he's happy to be 4th choice for 2 years then maybe jump to 3rd choice, then fine. But then he's not here to be 4th choice for a year, so then it half removes the point of him.
It feels like now is the time to sell Quansah, really, especially if we sign Huijsen. Stock still relatively high and seems to be some interest in him.
Are there any old timers on a free who would be happy to get a squad place for a year or two? Gomez should be going and Quansah needs a consistent run. If we get one for the future and one to fill any potential gaps/play cup games, I’m okay with that.
