Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal lost leaving the 2 Manc teams, and Aston Villa v Blackburn to fight for the honour. This means only no more London Teams are in the mix.

Arsenal is looking shaky once again after the international break and the loss of RVP.

Chelsea's Ancelotti made some very strange decisions like making 3 subs at half time and putting a raw youngster to take the final penalty! Thye played with 10 men at the end with an injury to a player.

Maybe the Londoners do not fancy this cup but Ancelotti made the strangest decisions and paid for it. If Rafa had done that, this forum will be painted red with his blood.

Re: London Out

Mourinho made the same risky gambit to good effect and we heard what a genius he was forever.

Re: London Out

@Terrier: Even if Rafa use that same tactic in your so called tin pot cup, you will calling for him to be quartered and hung.

@farky: is right.

Like we'd be arsed if we were 5 points clear, playing superbly and still in Europe

I wouldn't be calling for him to be hung and quartered.

I don't care if Rafa stays or goes.

However, if a better option came along like Marueen or Hiddink, then yes, I would take it.

Hiddink is too old to be taking on the Liverpool job, Terrier.
He wants to walk into a ready built sqaud and just coach them, that is his strength.
He would be a step backwards in the long-term.

Also, I would prefer Rafa as a manager tbh.

Many would argue that Rafa's squad is already 'ready made' title contenders. It's essentially the same squad who were pipped to the post last year.

I wish people would stop saying that.

It's essentially the same side, yeah, except that gaping hole in midfield, caused by the departure of player so crucial to our way of play, we can barely attack/pass/defend in his absence. After all, it Torres left Oxford City it would be essentially the same side.

That said, United are coping admirably without Tevez and Ronaldo so maybe you have a point.

Wenger took it all with his customary 'professorial' good grace, I see.

Haha.

Hughes was very quick to get his digs in about this wasn't he?
