Yeah, it was a good post but was completely naive and one dimensional without an equally good reply from refugee. I don't think Vlad was ever against people debating, disagreeing or being critical of some decisions; on the contrary he was in favour of it. What has become an obsession with so many "members" on here now is to slam the manager rather than criticise his decisions. Kenny, of course, has done more for this club than anyone on this board ever has or ever will. Kenny, of course, loves this club more than anyone on this board ever has or ever will.

That doesn't make him perfect but it should afford him some respect. The fact that so many people have been utterly incapable of expressing themselves while still demonstrating respect for a legend has been the sad part and a blight on this forum. Where it was, originally, a place for debate - robust at times - it now degenerates into an excuse for insults, threats and personal issues. The actual issues now get ignored, swamped in the rush of posters eager to attack the manager or the person rather than the issues; it's like they actually think this will somehow make a name for themselves or something.

I hope Vlad starts posting regularly again and just lets the rubbish posters and their ignorant bilge simply run off his back. Their hardly worth listening to let alone being upset by.

I think it's just a microcosm of life; if you let every moron out there provoke you with their near institutional stupidity you'd be spending most days in court facing assault charges - or in prison reflecting on them. Like Portly I thought the decision to hook Carroll was bad. It was humiliating for the player and totally unneccessary. For me it summed up Kenny's recent treatment of Andy.

Respectfully, I'd have to disagree in this instance. I felt we needed to change things and he wasn't contributing much. It was lousy to see how the barcodes treated him, but this wasn't the Andy Carroll show, it was about LFC, and it was just too bad his shitty ex-fans reacted badly. Andy could have avoided it by scoring a goal or just playing much better than he did. Kenny himself was getting outrageous abuse non-stop. The only ones to blame are those neanderthal Geordies.

In my estimation the league is our top priority and always should be where we are judged. The Cups are silverware and give us a nice lift but they are secondary.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but the Kenny feel good factor is long gone. He can't even motivate the lads to win at home. There's something wrong with that picture. Can you honestly say that we are progressing under Kenny?

The King returns to reclaim his throne. Romantic notion that I wanted. I was an advocate of Kenny's appointment and desperately wanted it to work out but there's no time for sentimentality. We're in football to win and of late that hasn't been happening. 22 years without a league trophy is a long time to spend dreaming. We have accepted mediocrity for too long. To answer your question, no we shouldn't be looking for a manager to win us Cups. Cups should be used as a launch pad to put in a sustained assault on the league. We should get in a proven winner with the right credentials.

We did when we appointed Kenny FFS. The fact that it's been too long since we last won the league MUST NOT push us into kneejerking now.

Considering so little was at stake yesterday, i found that very hard to take.

I've pretty much backed Kenny and his signings all season long, but right now i'm not sure where i stand in regards to them being with us come the start of next season. I'd bought into the idea that we were planning for the long term and that our form would be patchy as a result, but with all concerned showing so little it's getting harder to maintain that belief.

Can I just say, I was really angry after the game, but I generally don't take exception to people being critical, but Modo and Ryan and Hmmmmm and a few others seem to constantly use it as a tool to score points, while everyone else is sore about a game, they come in everytime with "I told you so's". It's annoying and frankly, the manner in which they seem to have more focus on whether they were right or wrong, rather than discussing the point without being cunt about it, is frustrating and in most cases, downright arrogant.

We're not good enough, Kenny is struggling and our form since the turn of the year isn't good enough, I don't think I've ever really taken a different stance, other than offering some perspective about the long term and just how short we are of a good team.
