For me it did come down to a single moment - Gerrard v Chelsea, thats the moment it went and we couldn't get it back.
As bad as our defence is we still found ourselves in a position with 3 games to go needing 7 points from 9, Gerrard made a mistake and that was that, the only small hope after that was Everton, once City beat them the game was up for us.
We can all look back at little things here and there throughout the season but the fact remains we had it in our hands with 3 games left.
That game away to City we could blame Sterling for missing that sitter to make it 2-2, that result would have got us the league or what about Mignolet for gifting them a goal to go 2-1 down where we couldn't recover from, same with the 2-2 if it had stayed 1-1 then that would have been enough, for me all that sort of stuff and type of thinking is bollocks though, it doesn't just apply to us, other teams can use the same excuse, if for example Joe Hart had his head screwed on at the start of the season then City would have run away with it, Chelsea blew stupid games they should never have lost etc...
