He's an incredible athlete and he is fitting in to the system well. I think as his confidence grows he'll take more shots on, take on more players. So happy for the lad. That drive from midfield is the most important bit. Keita by all accounts has that in his locker too... Especially in these kinds of games where we can be on the back foot, bombing up 20 yards past 4 players to the edge of their box is something we've missed since Suarez/Sturridge days

It was fine that fans doubted him when he came, but it was ridiculous the number who absolutely wrote him off after just days of arriving. He's still quite young, he's got about six to eight years in which to keep progressing, and he's clearly relishing the chance to learn and improve. It's great to see. That's two signings this season - him and Robertson - who've developed impressively. It's been ages since we've witnessed that.

Yes. I'd definitely start with Ings against Everton. If he's going to prove himself, again, that match seems made for him, and it also makes sense in terms of resting other attacking players.

That's not how I recall it. Someone will doubtless make a cunt of me but I think the majority thought it was an overpayment but we were glad to have him. I think my point was that I was glad to buy him, but not at the expense of not getting VVD or whoever else. It wasn't 99% or anything close.

But I'm not going to make this into a Rolls Royce thread. I'm just glad he's playing so well, and that goal was fucking brilliant.

I didn't want him, really. And he's also had some fucking dreadful games. But he was great last night, and was also very good when we beat them in the league.

If he can deliver the sort of performance level he gave last night on a consistent basis, over a long period of time, he will prove a bargain. But let's not start sucking eachother off just yet, we don't want another "Why Aren't We More Excited By Origi" thread.
