Too inconsistent and a constant injury concern. Should we admit he was Klopp's biggest mistake in the transfer market? If we get an offer of £40m I would sell.

You can say what you like. He might click in to form and give him 5 games then he will without a doubt be injured again and be out for weeks if not months

How dare he have a single year long injury.

I wouldn't have bought him in the first place, not for £40m anyway, because I never rated him that highly and he had a terrible injury record.

That said, he did look good in a few games before he was injured for a year, and while I don't think a short run of games where he played well is enough for the "I told you so"s, neither do I think it's really fair to make any judgement in the few games he has played since he was injured FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR.

We should be able to make a fairer judgement if he stays fit.

By all accounts Keita wasn't particularly injury prone. I think Ox was a known quantity in that respect. Maybe?

Maybe not , but players get more prone to injury as time goes on and we seem to believe that Keita is 23. Despite him coming for a country that didn't register births and having a conviction for using false identity documents in Germany.

He's the new Essien.

I wish. Essien was the best CM in the league for a season or two, at least.

If we get our money back for him (plus a profit), id sell. On the flip side, its worth keeping him to boost up the amount of English players we have in the squad.

Ha. I was going to say, I'll be well happy if he's the new Essien.

He could be an absolute star, he showed all the attributes needed to be a phenomenonal player before he came here, but until he gets a prolonged spell in the side, we've no idea if he actually will be for us.

I suspect we may see Chamberlain tonight for an hour, then Keita for the last half hour. I think it's becoming clear Keita needs a confidence boost & starting him against genk at Anfield as opposed to away makes more sense in that regard, & Klopp has proven to be very choosy about when he brings players back into the side, & tbf, his judgement is usually pretty good on that front.

Obviously Essien was used as an example of a player purportedly older than his passport claimed and whose career was ended by a series of bad injuries, rather than any direct comparison of playing style

Aha. You thought he spoke about Michael?

Exactly, proper judgement on Ox comes this summer.
