PL Opposition Tidbits

Honestly, I think they've got a decent XI. The players don't enjoy playing in that line up, that's pretty evident, and they've lost faith in Amorim.

Edit: minus the keeper

Yeah, decent....the issue is about 13-14 teams in the PL have decent teams too......only different is they've all spend a fraction what Utd have. The culture was broken the day Fergie called time.

Smart guy, getting in "in the premier league" at the end there.

Amorim being interviewed now and to be fair to him, and I think this every time I see him interviewed, he's honest and rarely tries to blame other factors. To say "the best team won" tonight is a credit to him.
His stubbornness about his system less so, mind.

Yup, the sort of decision that changes the course of the history of the club. Slot over Amorim was one hell of an inspired decision by Hughes and Edwards.
maybe i’m blessed with hindsight here but it doesn’t seem like a hugely difficult decision to not drop a manager playing a specific system into a pretty successful side that doesn’t play or have players suited to that system.

I like how United thought that dropping a manager playing a specific system into a shite side that didn’t play or have players suited to that system was somehow a work of genius.

I’m truly torn between watching Amorim continue to fuck this up, hoping they give it to Rooney to take fucking it up to a new level or watching Big FlAnge ratchet the comedy up a level or two by playing Slabhead and de “not” Ligt-ning fast in a ridiculously high line in front of Onana.

I’m sure one of their more “emotional” players is close to chucking a full toddler tanty on the pitch - flip a coin between Fernandez & Cunha.

Penny for the thoughts of those that have thrown their careers away at United over the last ten years

Genuinely .. a penny

i think bruno fernando fleeing to saudi is a not so wildcard outcome for him right now

it’s not such a crazy idea if your team is muck anyway to bring someone in to gut it and build his own side. but big jim cut amorim off at the knees by being a tight arse, maybe they legitimately have to be tight in which case his appointment was silly and desperate.

To be fair - they’ve spent a fairly large amount on players this summer to look arguably even worse than last season - what is it… £200m+ and they still haven’t sorted out midfield, defence and keeper, while their new forwards aren’t exactly firing.

Did anyone see the post match interview with Amorim? He says it himself, the players aren't playing for him..
Has to get sacked or resign.
