Jesus Diogo makes our strikers look like guff.

Diaz really is not back to his former self (yet)

darwhizzy looks like darwhizzy

It was Diaz's chance to make himself a hero. And not scrap a dodgy assist to DJ.

He's just not up to it.

Still don’t agree with that VAR offside goal. Striker who is onside then pushed by defender offside and judged to be offside as in line of GK. It’s like they are picking which select cuts for the on field referee to view but still not providing all the context, whole thing is BS in these use cases.

I don't really have a problem with that one. The "foul" by Nunez in the first half was the one for me.

There was no contact.

What we have learned from this game:
  1. Nunez is capable of scoring if he has no time to think. Klopp should forbid him to take an extra touch – first time finishes only.
  2. Salah is running on fumes at the moment. Diaz is not all right. Jota walks into our attack; keeping him fit will be key to our season.
  3. Our back 6 (back 4 + Alli and Endo) looks the most solid it's been since pre-injury Van Dijk days. We would not have been winning game if not for them – the defence is carrying this team at the moment.
  4. Gravenberch is very much a work in progress. He is lucky to be getting so much game time due to injuries elsewhere. We need MacAllister and Thiago back to control these games better.
  5. Tierney is an irritating self-centered prick.

The standard of commentary/ interviews is abysmal.

Stupid questions handled very well by both Klopp and Virgil

Yeah, we are getting some shockers. Was just thinking this, plus we had 8 shots on target in the first half. We can easily kill some of these games much earlier, we are obviously a team in transition and finding our way still. Such chaos with such fun, not great for looking for an easy win though.

That's why I think it's important that we sign a new forward

Ratings first, analyst to come after!!!!!!!!!

Ali 6 - Kicking a bit suspect, other than that don't think he had a save to make.

Trent 6 - Defensively weak as we know, crosses were mostly crap. Not a game of his I'll remember.
Quansah 8 - Exceptional game, won virtually every header and bar 1 long pass that went out of play don't remember him giving the ball away. 1 last ditched tackle in there as well, great display
Virgil 7.5 - Effortless.
Gomez 9 - My MOTM tonight, great defensively and great going forward.

Endo 8 - Other than the pass that put us in danger at the end there thought he he was magnificent again. Wins his headers, gets stuck in and rarely gives it away.
The Boy 7 - Wasn't as involved as he has been but still far better today than anything he was producing last season. Growing into that RCM role.
Grav 7 - Brilliant for 20mins then goes off the radar for 20mins then comes back into life for 10mins and then goes quiet for the rest of the game/until he's subbed.

Salah 6 - Had a decent effort off the bar otherwise a fairly quiet game.
Nunez 7.5 - Beautifully taken goal otherwise again a fairly quiet game.
Gakpo 8 - Thoroughly enjoyed his performance today, far better coming in from the left, incredibly unlucky to have that goal ruled out.

Jota 8 - Tell me he's not the best finisher at the club? Great to have him back.
Rest of the subs were pretty meh.

Didn't we know most of these things before?

Grav played well today (compare him today with Mac at Sheffield, it's a no contest), he's having a better season than Mac.
