Oh. My memory is struggling with getting older. I just remember things the way I want now.No the last time we were in it we beat City before the terrible defence of our FA Cup

Apparently, it was a symbolic protest for Gaza. It’s was so disrespectful of that football to fly over the bar once it left Salah’s boot.
Shame for Harvey, because he was one of our best players today. That was a women’s football level shit penalty from Harvey there…how can he be that poor at penalties?
…so with Macca looking rusty as fuck we’re looking at Jones - Szobo - Wirtz on Friday
Gravvy is not the physical driver of midfield, more of a turn and move type. Not a battler with high aggresion level. Why we need the athleticism and technical ability of Gravy in the centre.
Right. If we can play the whole game like first half, we will be fine, especially with all the players Bournemouth have lost.…so with Macca looking rusty as fuck we’re looking at Jones - Szobo - Wirtz on Friday

It's a friendly but it still highlights huge concerns going in to the season proper.
If Nyoni cant be subbed on in a "glorified friendly" he's not getting any minutes at all, when it matters.I'd genuinely look to start Nyoni.
Confident on the ball, rarely gives it away and actually looks to thread forward passes through the lines.
Jones is fucking tragic, done with him and Szobo thinks he's Zidane.
Slots false 9 experiment failed miserably.
But we were creaking even before that. Szobo and Jones were shite. The commentators kept banging on about how Jones had 100% passing completion, ignoring that he often slowed down the attack.
Palace deserved a draw, and a shootout is always a lottery.
Taking Witrz off 10 minutes before a shootout is criminal too.
Before the game Slot kept making reference that we sell to buy. So over to you Arne. We need a CB and another 9.
No.. none at all.Have there been any rumours this summer of us being in for another striker?

The fact that Slot didn't use all 6 subs means this wasn't a friendly to him.

Stop being an Ass Holle.Quite the gesture to donate them the ball. It just land there in about in half an hour.
Could we have approached it any differently?I'm not sure it's that simple. The way we tailed off, and particularly the way we approached the penalties, had "friendly" written all over it.
I never understand why Virgil doesn't take one. I'd force him to if I were manager - he's brilliant at them. That was a women’s football level shit penalty from Harvey there…how can he be that poor at penalties?

Ok, screwbans.Stop being an Ass Holle.
Yep, it’s crazy that we haven’t looked to get in a genuine alternative. The fetishisation of Endo shouldn’t go beyond a bit of fun as he’s many levels below as a starter. It’s not good enough, is it?
It’s clear that the balance still isn’t quite right in the squad. We have no ability to rest Gravy for another season.
Totally Jones is tragic and is mostly responsible for the issues in this game by being taken off and us losing complete control of midfield. He really needs to learn to stay on the pitch and misplace some passes becsuse 53 passes attempted and completed successfully is just not right.I'd genuinely look to start Nyoni.

The issue for me is we did that for the last 4 months of the season tooWe weren't sh!te all the way through - we started well but fell away. In some ways that might be more worrying than one bad day at the office would have been.
Yeah me too. I was always against that - you have one of the best ball strikers in history and he's on corners. WTF.Managers sometimes don't want to confront star players' preferences (cf.Salah taking penalties). Back in the day it used to frustrate the bejabers out of me when Stevie G took our corners - he should have been in the middle converting them.
