In his first game he was impressive and then replicated the same performance for Scotland. Why isn't he first choice for LB?

Klopp is bedding him in. He'll get plenty of chances over the piece, there's no doubt he looks like a Klopp fullback. Moreno's renaissance seems to have held him back so I suppose we wait for the inevitable game-costing calamity from Moreno before Klopp makes Robertson #1 choice for LB.

I can only presume its because Klopp is working with him tactically on how he wants him to play. Because outside of that you would have to be a pretty shit player to not be able to play ahead of moreno. Can't believe liverpool didn't sell him in the summer. Any money for him would have been a bonus.

It's a huge step up from playing in the Scottish Leagues then in a struggling Hull City side to signing for a Club the size of Liverpool. His missus had a baby recently as well. I think Klopp is managing him well. He'll be our first choice left back as the season progresses.

I think you may be forgetting he missed the Arsenal match on account of his baby being born, for all we know he may have been given the nod that game otherwise.

Besides, it's pretty clear that this is less about Robertson playing and more about Moreno being dropped.

Klopp said he's poor at 1v1's and will take time to coach him so I'm not surprised.

He'll be eased in slowly against weaker teams

Moreno is diabolical 1 on 1. Maybe he's improved somewhat this season, but last season and one before he could almost never block a cross from his wing - the best he could do was stand 3 meters away from the ball, doing that silly jump with the hands behind his back. Robertson can't possibly be worse, can he?

Given the pace City have on the break I would nervously select Moreno.

Neither are strong in defence but at least Moreno has that lighting pace to save him.

Oh I think he's absolutely rubbish I'm just going on what Klopp said when he signed him
