I'm thinking Downing will do well, he's like a better Albert Reira. Albert wasn't great but he made the team better just by being out on the wing putting in the odd decent ball.

I'm happy with that list, as I like Downing, don't want Adam and I like the idea of two marquee signings.

My guesses - one will be a winger and the other will be Alonso, which is why we aren't getting Adam.

Alonso loves us and I think he'll want to return.

Dann also makes sense as he is a Scouser, a good centre back and can compete with Skrtel, Agger and Kelly to partner Carragher. Maybe Wisdom if he impresses in pre season, although it is probably a touch early for him next season.

Not sure about Enrique, haven't seen enough of him to judge..

Arsenal and Spurs both want him and they were above us.

He also has one of the best crosses in the league which we need for Carroll. He has scored 7 goals and got 7 assists this season in a poor Villa team. He was the best players yesterday, he has been better than Young this season - who United want.

This is not the Downing of three years ago, he is a better player now.

If we bring in a top marquee signing it is likely he won't be in the first XI anyway, but he'll be a very good addition to the squad.
