Downing is definitely a decent player and will improve our left side without a doubt, but Mata is in a different class, IMO. I've wanted him ever since Silva's price went completely unrealistic, and I now believe he could make a much bigger impression on the league.

What have you been hearing about us though Sunny? I've been going into depression mode ever since you and Redshrek have broken the news about Downing. Is he going to be the ever cliched 'squad' signing or is that the kind of signings we should expect this summer?

They bought Hernandez a young barely known striker from Mexico. It was more or less a bonus that he's done so well. No one expected him to have the impact he's had.
