Selliott

Elliot engenders a lot support / sympathy for his situation and I get why. He clearly loves the club and he's not without talent by any means.

I think what most are saying in this thread is come on, let's be realistic. We are in four competitions, sure, but we're talking about keeping a supposed 40M asset around to play in the domestic cups and maybe get the odd sub appearance here and there.

There are clubs that keep young players hanging about (like Chelsea and Real Madrid) but I don't think it's in either ours or Elliot's best interests to do this. The best way forward as things stand - given the actual reality of the situation (not the reality we wish) - is to sell with a buy back clause because unlike most players, I reckon if Elliot did manage to properly establish himself somewhere and we wanted him back, he'd come.
Good post. Hard to argue.
You havnt changed.
You prick

No, like Hansern said, but Finns are closer to Swedes than Danes. Finnish is the second biggest language in Sweden and Swedish is one of the two languages spoken in Finland.

I can attest to that. I have a friend from Åland (a Finnish island near Sweden)....
and she only learned to speak Finnish when she was in her 20's...

Ah maybe. Self governing. They have a national football team!

Yes, similar to Greenland. Both are self governing constituents of the Danish Kingdom.

Greenland recently got denied CONCACAF membership, which I found disappointing.

Who wouldn't want to play at a venue like this?

Well it has the better atmosphere than a match at the Emptihad, you gotta hand it to them.

I think he's been hard done to, but I can't argue too hard when Slot won us the league last year. I think he should have at least had more time off the bench, but he'd developed that Babel habit of being great off the bench and then bang average when he started the next game.
He needs to go somewhere where he will start week in, week out. He deserves that, but it's not going to happen here.
I agree Quansah was more hard done to than Elliot. He had one half when he was "OK" but not great and was then basically bombed out for the season and publicly reprimanded to boot. It was the first game of the season, far too early to judge, and we put all our eggs in the basket of a guy who, seemingly, wants to shaft us by joining Madrid on a free next summer.

Slot requires a certain intelligence from his players. I think Q should have been given more time but Slot may have decided he wasn’t bright enough with tactical instruction. He has a great record of improving youth so we have to trust.

Chelsea let De Bruyne go, and Salah, and Guehi for that matter. It rarely makes sense to offload young players who are CLEARLY dead good at footie. This isnt Jordan Ibe or Thomas Ince, as you say if he came through Dortmund or Sporting academy at this age we would be made up if we signed him.

Still think it was a mistake to buy Coutinho over Ince. Brendan was hard done by - undermined by the data people 😆

Any solid buy back clause would sway me in favour of letting him go somewhere outside of England to hone his skills and fulfill his potential.

Come back in two to three years and rule the league please Harvey.

do we like this move for harvey? i actually want him to do well, not sure about the frankenspurs.

he'd do well to ignore the champions league football on offer at spurs, it'll not be a regular occurrence.
