A point that gets all too easily forgotten. She clubbed the country into depression and bred a generation who'd grown up with parents either on the dole or living on meager incomes, leaving them with lowered aspirations.
For all the Tories shaking up of the benefit system now, it's forcing many people into employment that barely puts their household above poverty, again.
Hopefully this travesty of a funeral will generate such reactions from the average Joe that will be a massive wakeup call for this Government. I doubt they'll give a fuck though.
My dad was a plasterer and my Mum did every bar/cleaning/factory job she could through the 80's, we were lucky to a degree but we weren't well off, we were just lucky both of our parents had some form of employment. My Mum at one point was working in one job in the day and cleaning of a night, when she mentioned this outside school one day when I was in Primary School, a woman nearly tore her face off - how dare she have two jobs when her husband couldn't get ONE, that's how hurt and incensed it made people at the time.

Don't be daft of course if it ever comes out conclusively that she knew then nobody could defend her. I certainly wouldn't.
This "close to deceitful" statement that Cameron mentioned and the worry she had about the way it looked for the police does not look good but they have to find more evidence than that to blame her and say she knew of entire coverup.

Sorry Mark, that's bullshit. Her private secretary was on the radio earlier saying how much she cried at the losses suffered in The Falklands conflict. She may not have shown she was bothered before she sent people there, but it would appear the losses hit home.
That doesn't make her good or me an apologist for her btw, before I get set upon!
