It's sad in a way, that sponsors & 'club partners' should have such an impact, but it's inevitable, & if the club doesn't play their best hand in today's game it could cost serious revenue long term.

I know someone (tenuously) who either has worked for or still works for Standard Chartered (I know he was looking to leave a while ago and don't know whether he did or not). I spoke to him not long after the Evra thing and he said that Standard Chartered were furious about it, so I can only imagine the pressure they'd be putting on the club after the two bites.
