So, Luis to Barca.....

I used to like this place. Now I'm not so sure. There really are some (a) boring bellends about.

Fuck off.

Get Hansern to tell us why he didn't post the original tweet and instead went for something that lent it a little bit more credibility if you didn't look further at it

They tweeted both you know. Most of us want Sanchez included so thats why the last one is interesting.

@BBCNWT: BREAKING: Spanish Tv reporting that Luis Suarez sold to Barcelona for £63m. Five year deal. .@LFC

@BBCNWT: Some reports suggesting Alexis Sanchez may be included in the Suarez deal. So @LFC fans - £63m plus Sanchez a good deal?

You're a very sad person. I pity you. Always trying to win on the internet. Do you keep records aswell?

I watched the local news, Sanchez and €/£60m was mentioned but I'm not sure he had any idea on what he was saying.

We'll know soon enough.

What are these things called "euros"? I hope they're nothing like "lires," which I encountered some years ago and found most unpleasant.

The idea that sports journalists used to have journalistic integrity...

I'll just quote the great man:

“Sportswriters are a kind of rude and brainless subculture of fascist drunks whose only real function is to publicize & sell whatever the sports editor sends them out to cover… which is a nice way to make a living, because it keeps a man busy and requires no thought at all. The two keys to success as a sportswriter are 1) a blind willingness to believe anything you’re told by the coaches, flacks, hustlers and other “official spokesmen” for the team-owners who provide the free booze… and: 2) a Roget’s Thesaurus, in order to avoid using the same verbs and adjectives twice in the same paragraph.”

If you have euros and you don't like them, feel free to give them to me.

If you these fees include Sanchez, or are actually in sterling, then it's not as bad I thought.

If not, I suspect we knew all along he was leaving this summer cos we'd agreed to a relatively low (compared to his talent) release clause.

I thought at the time giving him a bumper salary & long contract meant we were buying his loyalty for another season.

Looks like we have a bidding war on our hands.

Can that actually happen if there's a release clause figure though?

I assumed that both clubs would just submit the release clause amount & the player would choose what club he wanted.

Then again I assumed that clubs wouldn't use fax machines for transfers about 20 years ago & they're still fucking using them.

I'm not sure this one has been fact-checked FFF

You're right, they would just pay the release clause. The only bidding war that could happen is on how much they pay Suarez. The tweet was 100% bullshit anyway, so wont be happening.

That's better, Pearce knows his stuff.

Guess we're just waiting to see if Sanchez can be a part of the deal now.
