for the record I specifically made an AVB thread to get across the managers style of play and views if no one is interested in that they should have just deleted the thread. to be honest most of the time I post now I'm mostly messing about because I am seriously losing my love of the game.
I am absolutely horriefied at the absolute shambles the club has become, 4 managers in 2 years, an utter lack of patience from fans, behind closed doors documentary, an interview process that is virtually being done out in the open. the club isn't serious anymore so why should I be? but if people are tired of me posting twitter updates or my views on potential managers I'll stop. the last thing I want to do is offend anyone, even you.

I was serious though, we have become a joke of a club. remember when gh was sacked, almost immediately rafa was announced. that's how I remember it anyway, no news whatsoever and then BANG! a echo exclusive.

I know I posted it earlier, but AVB has to be a concern. While I want to see us go high end, he's there based on what he did with Mourinho as assistant and what he did for ONE season with Porto. His record there was immense, his win ratio at his first club and Chelsea was less than 50%. His reputation is massively inflated because he worked with Jose. I'm not saying he isn't promising, he's young, ambitious and his Porto side was excellent, but it's a completely different football culture and I think people are looking at that and our craving for attacking football is being something of a blind spot.
He's a massive, massive risk. That said, I wouldn't be overly concerned about the stories emanating from Chelsea, I mean, I bet even the tea lady has skeletons in her closet in that place.
He dragged the players in on their day off after Everton tonked them 2-0, they made a cunt out of him by questioning him and his tactics infront of The Village Idiot, and that was the end, more or less.

This reasoning is really stupid Neil, someone posted something similar earlier. If we shotgun the appointment we'll be criticised for being kneejerk. So we're taking our time over it? So what?
As I said, the most worrying thing about him was using tactics that exposed the frailties of his players. It is fine to have a vision for the way your team should play, but make sure you actually have the right players on the pitch to execute it.

i thought vilas boas came across as a right arrogant prick at chelsea , didn't like him at all . And yes they're a bunch of cocks but it doesn't hide the fact he's very inexperienced and was in over his head there from day 1 .
I don't really get the whole thing of getting a young up and coming manager , just get the best fucking manager to do the job , who cares what age he is .
