I honestly can't believe how condescending people are that some of us, think Martinez is an awful candidate. Really, we abandoned the King for him? When others are available. When the guy who had us in the CL year after year is available. YES, there's more to a club being successful, than just the manager, BUT YES WE SHOULD DO BETTER. I'm not sure who you are referring to. If we signed Martinez today and you said that you think it's the wrong choice and he probably is going to fail, I'd have no argument.
I actually know very little about the guy.
However, if you are calling him a useless cunt who will definitely have us in a relegation dogfight, despite him having never had the opportunities and advantages of being at a big club, then I'd question your rationale.
If you were also calling our owners clueless for merely considering him as a candidate, then I'd probably stop questioning and start ignoring.

Personally i think there is a shortage of up and coming top managers in the ilk of say Rafa or Mourinho when we were looking back then . Klopp is the most obvious but i think it would be really difficult to get him .
And you could argue that until you give the likes of martinez , rodgers or lambert a chance then you'll never know how good they could be , just look at di matteo (although it's still early days there ) . But this is a massive appointment for us ,they need to get it right and nobody can say they wouldn't worry that these guys have little experience , and no experience managing a so called 'top' team . i mean all 3 started the season with a target of avoiding relegation . That's a completely different job from trying to get top 4 and the more hopefully .
Massive gamble if they go this route and if it fails all fans will turn on them .
