Who knows what actually went on, I think the club know they and Suarez are in a no-win situation and issued the apology.

Liverpool Managing Director Ian Ayre released a second statement .
It read: "We are extremely disappointed Luis Suarez did not shake hands with Patrice Evra before yesterday's game. The player had told us beforehand that he would, but then chose not to do so.
"He was wrong to mislead us and wrong not to offer his hand to Patrice Evra. He has not only let himself down but also Kenny Dalglish, his team-mates and the club. It has been made absolutely clear to Luis Suarez that his behaviour was not acceptable.
"Luis Suarez has now apologised for his actions which was the right thing to do. However, all of us have a duty to behave in a responsible manner and we hope that he now understands what is expected of anyone representing Liverpool Football Club."

i'm sorry but this is getting stupid ...yeah perhaps evra didn't want to shake Suarez's hand and even kept his hand a little lower as a sign he was a bit reluctant to do so . But the fact of the matter is he went to lift his hand up and Suarez moved his past it . Now frankly i don't really care if suarez didn't shake his hand , as long as he or the club come out and finally explain their recent actions so as to put an end to this and allow us to concentrate on the fact we've 2 wins in fucking 9 !!!
I can't stand united or Evra like the next man but this whole blinkered thing that Evra caused this , especially now Suarez has come out , admitted and apologised for not shaking Evra's hand , is well frankly mental . I don't think he's worth the hassle anymore.
It's only a matter of time before he gets wound up and kicks off again. I know in the match thread yesterday I said I forgave him for everything after watching Evra prancing around after the final whistle.

This might be unfair (depending on what the truth is), but I think it is necessary and the club's interest should always be put before self/individual. Something had to be done to prevent the issue from dragging on or escalating. It would do us no good in our cup final and cup run too.
