I felt sorry for McAteer, he was a central midfielder and we bought him and then played him as a right sided wingback/fullback (whilst Evans changed the personnel and formation everytime we lost a match, which didn't help). He wasn't the worst of players but his crossing was frustrating to say the least, you always got 110% from him though.

Hey LTW - No I'm in London now but I did used to live in Japan for about 4 years. Boss place. I've been a lurker since the Koptalk days. I used to have a different user name then but I cant remember what it was. I'm on RAWK as well but they're all a bit mental there so here is now my home 8)

A few other 90's memories include just how much I instantly liked Litmanan. It was weird. I just really wanted him to do well . He was injured a little when he first arrived but one of his first games he came on as a sub vs Palace I think. He did this brilliant flick to beat his man which was just sublime. He was also clean through on goal and instead of scoring squared it to God to put it in the back of the net. Years later someone on KT posted that they met him and he signed an autograph for him. He posted a picture of it and it said something like 'We will never walk alone - Jari' - A class act!
God's hatrick Vs The Gooners was amazing as well.
Also does anyone remember Razor turning down Cantona's collar during a game at Old Trafford? Ha ha :laugh:
I also remember hating Stig as well. 9 time out of 10 his cross would never beat the first man. Great cross for the winner against the toon though 😉

One of my favourite goals was a Fowler special from the 90's. I think it was one of a hat trick against Villa. He had his back to goal and let the ball go through his legs, he clipped it on it's way through with his left heel to take it away from a defender and turned and fired it into the goal from maybe 20 or so yards out. Great goal.
