Had to do it, this is fucking absurd.

Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but apparently

"Revealed exclusively today on Liverpoolfc.tv, our third choice strip for the new season is white, cyan and black in colour, with the inclusion of cyan blue a throwback to Liverpool's first ever home kit back in 1892 which incorporated alternate white and blue halves."

I'm not fussed on the blue, I do however hate white.

You cold as ice, Jon Fox !

@TonyBarretTimes: Liverpool need to withdraw their new 3rd kit from sale before it causes themselves & their fans further embarrassment

@TonyBarretTimes: Quite rightly, Evertonians are having a field day over the idea of LFC wearing a kit featuring blue/cyan

@TonyBarretTimes: Celtic don't wear blue, white's a no go for Barca, Everton wouldn't dream of red. Exactly the way it should be

@RobGutmann: @TonyBarretTimes Don't know if this has been said but the colours are pure Standard Chartered corporate ones. That's one bad sell out by LFC

@TonyBarretTimes: Most vivid demonstration of a club's identity is the team's colours. Of course it matters.

Well, SCB colours are cyan, navy and green on white

Withdraw it, don't withdraw it. Doesn't matter as won't be buying it

At least it isn't blue. I don't buy shirts so it doesn't matter to me but we don't need to have a blue in our shirt and never should.

I really like the black kit to be fair, the plain black not the one with silly yellow on
What black kit? You mean the away one?

It's grey & silver, not black.
Re: Re: Third Kit. Yes, it's White & BLUE.

It's a very dark grey.

I own the black shirt with yellow piping and the new one. It's definitely lighter

sometimes you buy shirts that you think are black, but they're actually very very very very very very dark blue

I know this isn't particulalry relevant but RG is a good mate of mine.

Anyway, shit idea for a kit. Whoever rubber-stamped it needs a good kicking before being sacked.

Re: Re: Third Kit. Yes, it's White & BLUE.

He's just overly critical of other people and there opinion when very rarely giving their own

He's a waste of my twitter feed. Shame twitter is dead boring and I can't be arsed finding more interesting people

I despise it too, but would anyone from the club have had any real say in this? Don't clubs pretty much sign away all control over such things when they take the kit manufacturers' (and in this case apparently the sponsors') money?

Haters gonna hate but:

Liverpool have announced record pre-orders of their new adidas third strip for 2011-12.

The Standard Chartered-sponsored kit, which will hit stores on July 14, has surpassed the previous record held by last season's black and yellow third strip.

Those who pre-order the kit will be entered into a prize draw for some exclusive LFC goodies.
