Well it's finally upon us and there is going to be a ton of activity for sure. Slightly worrying news for me is that Ozil might go to the Gooners which will free up some cash for Real to put a late bid in for Suarez. What are peoples thoughts on that happening?

Surely such a late bid for Suarez will be turned down though. No time for a replacement and with Borini out on loan our attacking options would be very limited.

I'll be watching with interest to see what Utd do as well. Hopefully fuck all!

The next 19 hours are going to pretty crazy that's for sure.

I'll be busy working but will be checking the mighty sky sports app ont phone 😉

Suarez - not going anywhere, it's too late.

LFC - our INBOUND work is done. Moses, IIlori and Sakho brings our new 1st team squad players to a total of SEVEN and on the surface all look to be good business for the prices paid. Any rumours are just Twatter Trash.
LFC - OUTBOUND - we may see some players go on loan and possibly Skrtel sold to Napoli.

Fellaini will go to Utd

Ozil looks on his way to Arsenal

We had bid rejected for Thauvin, so maybe we're going for one more.

I saw totally unsubstantiated rumours of Thauvin (whoever he is) and/or Dzagoev to us. Exciting stuff. Could well be shite.

Certainly wouldn't mind Thauvin. He's one of the names in my shortlist (who has yet to move clubs) in May. 😀

For an attacking midfielder it's weird he has no more than 1 assist per season. Doubt he'd get 10 goals per season here too so still not an improvement in SG in that position. Id prefer SG there and we bring in a more defensive minded MF who can actually control the MF, maybe this young lad we've been hearing about .... name of Masherano 😀

I doubt there will be any surprises coming in last minute. Seems the transfer committee has been an open book this summer.

Really glad about the CBs though.

Been a long time since we signed a really kick-ass CB and now we've gone and got Sahko. And Ilori sounds good too. I didn't realise he had played for Sporting's first team for two years - since 18. Sounds like he's done very well for a kid.

Still very raw. Thus listed him under potential bargain. But seems like Lille are looking at at €15m, which at that price will be pretty risky.

Just 20 yrs of age and it was his 1st full season in top flight last season. Scored 10 in 32 appearances, helping Bastia to a 12th place finish in their return to Ligue 1. Pretty versatile too, playing LW, RW and AM in various formations (442, 433, 4231) for Bastia.

Also scored 3 and assisted 1 in 7 appearances for France in the U20 WC (mainly as RW).

I think what you meant to say was:

He can do an elastico. End of.

@Metro_Sport: Uh oh, look away now Arsenal fans... Spanish paper Marca now claiming Ozil deal is OFF! They claim the player is refusing to leave Madrid.

Fastest player ever over 30 m tests at Sporting.
Beating Ronaldo and Nani etc.

Thats exciting at least..

Reds announce Sakho signing

Liverpool Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of French international defender Mamadou Sakho from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the Reds at Melwood after successfully passing a medical at the club's training complex.
After completing his move, Sakho told Liverpoolfc.com: "I'm delighted to be here. I'd like to thank everyone for the welcome.
"I came here because the project that is in place at Liverpool interests me. I'm really looking forward to playing my first game."
Sakho is capable of playing in central defence or at left-back and has made 14 appearances for his country since an international debut against England in November 2010.

After progressing through the French giants' youth academy, the defender made his debut for PSG in 2007 and played a total of 201 games for the capital club.

During more than six years in the first team there, he collected three major trophies - the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue - and was named the country's young player of the year at the end of 2010-11.
"I'm really looking forward to cracking on with work and I can't wait to get on pitch," continued Sakho.
"I know the Liverpool fans are fantastic and while I was in France, it was clear for me to see they are amongst the best in England."
Sakho becomes the Reds' seventh signing of the summer transfer window, joining Luis Alberto, Iago Aspas, Aly Cissokho, Tiago Ilori, Simon Mignolet and Kolo Toure in Brendan Rodgers' squad.

Liverpool complete Ilori deal

Liverpool have completed the signing of Tiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon.

The 20-year-old defender put pen to paper on his contract with the Reds after undergoing a medical at Melwood.
Afterwards, Ilori told Liverpoolfc.com: "It feels great being a Liverpool player - coming to the Premier League has always been a dream for me.
"I'm going to try and achieve everything I can. I want to play as much as possible and we'll see what the future holds. I will give my all and try my best to help the team."
Though born in London, Ilori has represented Portugal at U18, U19 and U20 level.
He also has experience of playing at Anfield in the 2011-12 NextGen Series for Sporting.
"I know the history of the club and the Premier League is the best league in the world, in my opinion," said Ilori. "Liverpool, have a great team and I think it's the place for me to be at the moment.

"I know there have been some great teams here in the past and the club has won a lot of trophies and I want to be a part of it."
Ilori becomes Brendan Rodgers' sixth signing of the summer transfer window, following Kolo Toure, Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Simon Mignolet and Aly Cissokho.

Thats two long articles down, and probably another one for Moses coming soon, Ian Cotton wouldn't have been able to cope with this.

[article]Everton have agreed a £12.5m fee with Wigan midfielder James McCarthy as they continue to haggle with Manchester United over the sale of Marouane Fellaini.

Talks were ongoing over the prospective £24million sale of the Belgium international to United with Everton moving quickly to line up replacements.

Wigan midfielder McCarthy is one while Everton have also lined up Manchester City’s Gareth Barry, Feyenoord defender Bruno Martins Indi and remain keen on Blackpool’s Tom Ince. [/article]

I like McCarthy but I'm not sure this notion of buying all Wigan's players is a great one for Everton.

Stoke sign Marko Arnautovic.

This should be great. The press will be all over him in no time.

Absolute fucking grade A whopper.
