Post Match UCL Internazionale Milan (A) 0-1 9th December 8pm

The result was fantastic and deserved.. An old school european away tie where we just defend and hopeful get a bit of luck in attack.. The only time inter looked dangerous was directly after the disallowed goal.
Have to say I expected more from inter but credit to our defending.
One thing is though, this kinda negative attacking style is all good and dandy away to inter at the San siro but if weplay this brand of negative football at home to Brighton then nothing changes

It was a very good result against a decent team with an exceptional home record. Considering the obvious lack of confidence in the side I thought we did really well. There are still obvious flaws in the team that I don't think can be addressed without transfers; Konate had a good game but he's had them before; at this age he should have ironed out the brainfarts and he hasn't. We need at least one more wide player who can stretch the play and beat people. I do think we need a great physical presence in the middle of the pitch also. But it's something to build on at least. I hope we persist with the formation and, if fit, the personnel, which means no way back into the side for either Salah or Gakpo.

It was a slightly improved performance, which probably a change of team's formation had played part in that! I thought that Jones was really outstanding once again. The team needs to do the same in the league, and put points on the board. Good Luck

Also for those harping on about us going out of the CL that win guarantees we will make the next phase.
A win at home to Quarabag should be enough for top 8 which is likely to be 15 so lower than the 16 forecast.

That and a draw away at Marseille should seal it beyond doubt.

Course we will. This is who we are now, we've only been doing it every game since Ipswich away bar the odd game against Madrid/Spurs where we've played on the front foot with intensity from minute 1 to 80/90.

We did an Italian job on them.

I might be alone in thinking that was a stone wall pen.

You can't pull shirts regardless of the fall.

Guarantee if he doesn't go down, it won't have been given.

But a pull is a pull. The law is quite clear.

I agree. Ignore the fall - he was just trying to draw attention to it. The pull stopped him trying to run towards the ball. The shirt pulling rules are quite clear these days and relate to the whole "creating a triangle in the shirt" concept.

I can't remember if that fuckwit has ever been right about anything.
He got a lineup right once after getting dogs abuse from Ryan for posting it. That was years ago. He's probably due another one in another couple of years. Broken clocks and all that.
