Unique footballers

George Best, because there was not one single thing he couldn't do to the highest standard. EVERY other great player has/had gaps in his skill set but Best could and did do the lot, from tackling like a little demon to outpacing the quickest defenders, from dribbling past whole defences to an uncanny ability to twist his whole body around in mid-air to meet a cross or a long pass forward.

It's a bit of fucking about training but I love this touch by Ronaldinho. Also the fact that he just has to follow it up with an elastico. He made everything look so easy.

Maradona did that (lump the ball high into the air and then trap it with his feet without much fuss), WITHOUT HAVING TO MOVE, 10 times in a row.

Joe Cole is apparently amazing with a golf ball.

He just struggles when you give him a full size football and expect him to run around and that.

Totti - never seen a player score so many outrageous chipped goals.

Yasuhito Endo - passes his penalty kicks into the goal

Can't get a youtube compilation of this but:

Djibril Cisse - unique for his ability to get caught offside again and again and again and again and again and again.... and again.

Unfortunately most of what he done has been lost, either never recorded in the first place or if it was recorded the film is possibly sitting on a shelf somewhere slowly decomposing.

Ronaldhino is by some distance the most skillful player Ive ever seen, in the below clip he controls the ball on the run with his fucking back and directs it into his path to keep running, insane

I know the feeling. 😉

Another problem for LFC fans is that almost all the best (no pun intended) of what he did was done for that lot down the other end of the E.Lancs.Rd. Even so, I had to mention him because he is without question the greatest footballer I've ever seen or expect to see (and I've seen Pele live). One example which might still be out there is - sorry about this, but wotchagonnadoo - Best's performance for the Mancs in the 1968 European Cup Final against Benfica. Credit where it's due (more's the pity).

Mijahlovic. An absolute twat but he was superb at set-pieces. He scored one against Chelsea I think in the CL that was just outrageous.

The master of free kicks.

I remembered he scored like 15-20 goals in one season and almost all of them were free kicks, if I'm not mistaken.

Plus he's a defender.
