Starting this early cos need to go out for a bit.

Gerrard's new banner is being unveiled today:

Thank fuck there aren't any *they're/their* debacles on that banner.

*re-reads post several times*

Balo not in the team

Borini starting

Sterling starting

No gerrard

Ibe on the bench

Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Skrtel, Can, Sakho, Markovic, Moreno, Lucas, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho, Borini.
Substitutes: ‎Ward, Enrique, Lambert, Manquillo, Lallana, Ibe, Williams.

The starting 11 is exactly what I wanted to see. But the bench is surprising: no Gerrard, no Lovren, no Balotelli. Good to see Ibe and Lallana back though.

This is a huge game today, a absolute must 3 points if we're to make a run on 4th.

I fancy Arsenal (v Man City), Southampton (v Newcastle) and Spurs (v Sunderland, Defoe debut) to all drop points this weekend.

Hell, even Utd might slip up against an under-pressure Redknapp at QPR.

COME ON REDMEN

Work rate and movement. And no goals.
Sterling aside we have no goal threat as Lambert doesn't offer any & Ballotelli is ill.

That taken into the equation means Borini's work rate & movement at least helps the more talented attacking players behind him stand a greater chance of scoring.

To put it bluntly, he's the best of a bad bunch.

Not gonna happen, well, unless we put our Lambert in goal & their manager takes to the pitch.

That's the only way I can see it happening.

Edit - you deleted your post. Now I look daft.
