I love it how there's a thread on here comparing this team to Rafa's 86 point one. Try comparing it to the one he finished 7th with that got him the sack.

That'd be a fucking start.

It doesn't matter who we play at the back, it would have been the same if it was Skrtel instead of Agger, we need someone to sit in front of the back two and be physical enough to give us some real protection, especially when we're stretched and have a big guy like Lukaku or Bentak (I don't know how you spell his name) running at the defence. It's so predictable it's embarrassing. Honestly if we had Andy Carroll or Emile Heskey running at our CB's we'd make them look like world beaters.

Not that I'm blaming that tv show on this defeat, just think it doesn't help us and makes us out we're special when we're far from

Hahaha.

I'm only laughing because I don't want to cry.

Very sluggish performance from the usual suspects.

Henderson, for all his improvement lately shouldn't be playing out wide. Shelvey still can't impress. Downing after a few early flicks disappeared. Agger's fuck-ups cost goals again.

Another sobering performance - which is balls because I wasn't drunk in the first place.

Agger should NOT be starting from now on. Horrendous

Coutinho looked decent. I'm losing all faith in Borini. At this rate I'd sell him this summer

Brendan has a good philosophy and is a good man-manager but tactically I think he is naive, I do think he needs to add to his coaching team.

Sad to say....but we wont finish anywhere near 4th for a while, unless we have substantial investment....
Then..... when we do get 4th......we'll need an even more substantial investment to stay there.....

Sadly,i dont think its with this manager or these owners....so its mediocrity for god knows how long.....GUTTED..

For the record. I am not going to defend Agger tonight. He lost us the point. Twice.

I have never seen Agger with such a bad run of games. Thought he had a good game untill he lost his marker.

And then again.

We have no bottle.

Its sad.

What is this bottle everyone speaks about. We need more goal threat, and a CB partnership that can flatten someone to clear a fucking header. It's not some magical abstract concept we need. We've got too much shit in fundamental positions. We're inconsistent because our attacking play is inconsistent and too dependent on one player, and our defending is poor. If you struggle to be able to impose your will against teams that defend well, and you struggle to keep a clean sheet, you're going to get a whole range of results, including some really painful ones to watch where you lose games you think you are in control of but aren't.

Agger was shit, but you can't play attacking football if you can't take your chances. We are shit up front and paid for it

Hard to not be ruined by that result.

If there was any hope left, then 4th is long gone.
A pretty shameful gutless performance. You can spin it that we played well and just didn't take our chances. But that isn't the case. We were muck.
Enrique just gave one of the worst Liverpool performances I've ever seen and Lucas, Agger and Johnson weren't far behind. In fact Gerrard was awful too.

Too many times now Mr Rodgers.

That'd be a fucking start.

That was a strange year though. We got 63 points but finished 7th, whereas 7th is usually taken by a team with points ranging between 53-58 points. A year after Rafa's last season we only got 58 points but finished 6th, then last season we got 52 and finished 8th. So that 7th place for Rafa was something of a statistical oddity.

Gerrard really fucked me off after they scored, the camera panned to him strolling back to the half way line with a gob on. GO AND GET THE BALL OUT THE FUCKING NET AND GET ON WITH IT!

Agger was wholly responsible for both goals! It doesn't matter what argument has happened with Skyrtel, he is in the twilight of his career and has to play to bump up his big pay day transfer before Agger now, and then they can both go. That was an 8.5 million pound football match tonight, and he fucked up at least twice.

What did he do wrong in your opinion?
Today? He started with one up front, even after we have played so well recently with another striker. He played Henderson out wide when we/he everyone knows he is better in the middle. Then he took off our best player and left the worst players on the pitch.
Borini should have started in place of Sturridge and Henderson in the middle.

Gerrard/Lucas/Henderson has looked so good of late.
Only a MONG would fuck that up. Typical manager thinking he's smarter than he is bullshit.

We aren't good enough to get creative, our best team should play.

His mouth gets him into trouble far too often....only knows how to talk the talk.....and patronises the fans by telling us we are educated fans and know a good thing when we see it.....CUNT...
Wowzer. That's quite a strong opinion you have there.
