I think he was better than Molby, not necessarily in his time with us but over the course of his career Xabi is way out in front

He was going from the time Benitez started sniffing around Gareth Barry. We got one more season out of Alonso which was his best ever for us, but then he was off.

Benitez was a terrible man-manager.

He was here in Singapore for a pre season friendly. We had like a 60k strong crowd shouting his name. He was out for a warm up but looked grumpy and moody. He didn't even looked up once. I don't think he played that day. He was off the next week.

Great midfielder, i think he love us. But i was never that taken by him.
