You know, I've said that about Egypt before, but those fuckers have "Greece'd" themselves to the final on more than one occasion.
Three fucking draws was enough to get them through. They play either Zambia or DR Congo next, two teams they can beat.

Egypt have drawn 7 consecutive Afcon games at full time.
Stats

This injury is just another reason for hating international footy. The Premier League operates under UEFA. It would be simpler for everyone if there was a small rule that said they are prohibited from playing in any non-UEFA competition between the start and end of the season. So fucking pointless.

Gomez was injured training with England ready for UEFA nations league games.
Also pointless

Or if all international games coincided over the same period IE why couldn't Qualifiers and International Friendly all happen at the same period?

Naby v Mane right now, 55mins in and Naby's not gone down yet.....

...Annnnnnd Sadio's just missed an open goal :ROFLMAO:

Wow, fair play Mauritania. Put up a wall all 2nd half. Algeria finish bottom of their group, embarrassing from them.

Japan beat Indonesia 3-1 and finished second in the group.
The first placed team in South Korea's group will play against Japan in the knockout stage.

Endo doesn't strike me as the type that's ever unhappy.

Plus the time to be happy is when we're lifting 4 trophies, until then it's angry.
Endo is 30 years old and captaining Japan, I'd rather see him come back as a champion. Same goes for Salah.

You really think Son, Hwang, and Lee Kang-In have any chance of getting past Endo? :ninja:

I'm already looking forward to getting Son back off my FPL bench.
Not after Endo leaves 1 on him as a parting gift you won't.

Well, forget South Korea vs Japan in the knockout stage. South Korea were up 3-2 but conceded a goal in the 15th minute of added time. So the game ended 3-3. South Korea finishes second and avoided Japan.
Smart move...

Won't be that smart when the mighty Iraq knock them out meanwhile Bahrain will deal with Japan with ease.

We're getting our Endo back late next week chaps.

The Koreans obviously read this thread.
Clever boys

Korea will meet the winner of group F which will be either Saudi or Thailand.

South Korea has the best players in Asia, bar none. Absolutely a league above in terms of personnel. They should be eating this cup for fun.

Unfortunately they are managed by a certain Jurgen Klinsmann...

The best 3 players probably, but not the best squad. Japan easily has the best squad.
Most of the players in South Korea's squad play in their domestic league, like their entire backline for instance, except the guy in Munchen.

I reckon Congo have a good shot at knocking Egypt out, Elia fucked up a 3 on 1 break for them in what has been the best chance of the game so far.

Congo 1 up, Egypt asleep from Masuaku’s quick throw. Wissa’s deflected cross falls kindly to nod home. Complaining it should’ve been their throw, they might have a case but don’t think VAR can get involved with that.
