Bring him back

Me Ross and Fabio always seem to thick as thieves with our latest HERO.

First we had Dzeko, and now we have Balotelli and Shelvey. Who's next i'm thinking Demba Ba could be good craic to follow or a shit hot foreigner. ideally it'b a German, Gotze, Muller etc.

Re: Bring him back

Ba is a decent shout but im waiting for someone to just appear,as if by magic

I'm bigging up Ba with ages. Think he's good sport.

We'll wait, we'll know when we've found our new Hero.

I think we are all in the 'I heart Martin Kelly' fanclub too btw.

Re: Bring him back

Certainly are!

I feel I need to see a wonder goal/ wonder commentary/ mad story to get me all a-quiver

What I like is it looks like he's too good to be there. Should definately get some game time when he's back!

Looks like it's been a perfect loan move. He's going to be proper boss.

Toadally. It's pretty daft to on the one hand glory in his progress and then on the other to demand he comes back to play a bit part for us. We should be doing this more with our youngsters, not less. Let him see his time out there until he's got a realistic chance of starting for us.

Yep, definitely agree, this is exactly what loan moves are for. Build his quality & confidence then bring him back next season/Jan & reap the rewards.

I'll third this. Blackpool is a good club for us to loan players to, because they do like to keep it on the deck and play a pass and move game. A great season there, and he'll be ready to make a contribution for us.

Absolutely.
I hope Holloway keeps on checking out our youngsters because his team is the perfect place for the more attacking players to develop.
That's why I have slight reservations about loaning out our talented youngsters to Bolton, a team constantly losing or drawing with a big emphasis on not letting a goal in.

Sorry to stick a pin in the scm shelveyloveballoon, but playing well in the championship is hardly akin to starting at Anfield week in week out.

Tearing it up on loan at Bolton (like Wilshire/Sturridge) in the premier league he ain't.

Is Kenny doing his best impression of Uncle Woy in today's interview, or have I been whooshed?

Yup, it's completely unrealistic to think Shelvey could get any game time with Adam, Lucas and Spearing are our midfield options.

If that's the case Shelvey should just retire now.

jonjo may be more talented than the players you listed but we both if he came back to liverpool tomorrow he wouldn't get a look in for the rest of the season, sucks but it is what it is.

i'm not saying it's right, but that's the way it is. how often was he even on the bench before the loan? incidentally, i'd also say that jonjo's current form does sort of question the wisdom of shelling out so much on henderson, someone who doesn't seem markedly more talented or even more ready for our first team.

Knew Kenny wasn't up to the task

Re: Bring him back

Apart from Holloway

He's a visionary

Problem with bringing back Shelvey is, he'd still be our 5th or choice centre midfieder so what's the point when he can play every week for Blackpool?

Furthermore, he seems to be one of them that needs two other midfielders to do his dirty work whilst he roams forward, for example last night, he appeared to play as a second striker almost.

Gone are the days of the box to box midfielder. Seems the current crop coming through need to play in a 3 as opposed to a 2. Maybe it's because the old 4-4-2 system is no longer as popular, see a lot of this 4-3-2-1, or 4-2-3-1 etc etc formations. (rightly or wrongly)

Created Phillip's winner vs. Millwall yesterday. 5 starts, 2 sub app, 5 goals, 2 assists.
