Well what can I say ? I think not only did we play a club in the same city but we played against a club of equal talent and quality. Yeah - I am bitching and whining even though its game 6/38 because thats what supporters of top clubs do in Europe and as I have learnt now after the last two long time managers - you can't just go on having 5 year plans.

Make no mistake - our team is slow at passing, slow in pace all over the pace, and at times devoid of ideas to create chances through the middle. Getting SG back is not going to be enough, and for those of you jumping up and down like crazy thinking Andy Carroll will improve - well I watched that game and even before and after the goal I could not help thinking to myself 'what the f*ck have we bought for 35M ?' - he has a bad first touch, can't pass very well, does not seem to dominate defenders despite his big size and lacks skill. I look at him and all I ever think is what a waste of money - and should this guy be playing in one of the lower leagues ? (by that I don't even mean The Championship - think 'Conference').

We struggled against a 10 man Everton team for most of that game and thank God the ref was probably a Liverpool supporter because the sending off was not a red card (we should all know that after watching the replay). This game was a master-class in seeing what we lack as a team:

a) Pace
b) Creativity
c) Strength in Midfield
d) Defensive problems

I had real hopes after the Bolton game but have come to the conclusion that Bolton are actually a really bad team right now and anyone can f*ck them over and look like Brazil (in their glory days) against them. I tell you my friends - we have got a lot of f*cking work to do and our summer buys are as bad as some on here have been saying - today was the proof.

Kind Regards to you all,

MORON
Not really Paul - just stating the truth and what all proper analysts of todays game would have got from watching it. We struggled against 10-men, and could not break them down the centre, and prior to the sending off - they were giving it to us as much as we were giving it to them. I think had they had 11 men, the game was most likely going to end in a draw - no doubt about that we were not dominating them. We are making hard work of any team that wants to actually fight for either a draw or win. We have now faced 3 determined teams this season:

1) Stoke - we lost
2) Spurs - we lost
3) Everton - we won when they were down to 10 men

The above is what has happened this season, to get into the top 4 this season - we need to win more convincingly away from home and overall much bette performances - thats the harsh truth of the matter.

Kuyt, Gerrard and Bellamy Should be starting.
Carroll was shit bar the goal. Downing was invisible.
Adam and Lucas had lost the before the sending off.
Kuyt, Enrique and Skrtel were good. We got things going when Gerrard came on....in minute 65(!). Hard to tell if it was because of Gerrard or because of Everton beeing exhausted.
Kenny made good subs which was nice to see.

Fair play, thats a much more fair handed post.
The derbies are always horrible, scrappy, bitty games. We did enough to win. Beat them 2-0, I for one am just happy with the points. If we play like this every week I won't be happy, but this being a derby, I'm just after the result.

we just need results away fom home, how those results are achieved is irrelavent. put it this way, we played better away to stoke than we did at everton and lost

hmmm, I think a draw would have been mostly likely.

Does it matter? A game can change a bit during 70 odd mins. Until the sending off we were shite, but it was still 0-0.

I didn't even think it was a foul

it wasn't, even without the benefit of the replay I thought the red looked harsh. the funny thing is the ref is looking right at the challenge.

So hold on a minute.....

Why?

Not why are you pessimistic but why bother to watch football at all? it clearly doesnt make you happy. What is football after all? it is just a silly game, it is certainly not science. Man U were lucky not to have their arses handed to them by Norwich today, we didnt play well and won.... against Everton, a good team who played well against City last week.

We lost at Stoke.... well then lets just forget it.

Get fucked with negativity ... really... GET FUCKED.

You see so much but you utterly miss the point. We are certainly not playing well enough to make you happy at the minute, and who knows it might take another five years... considering you cant even raise a smile after a not too bad start to the season maybe you should just wise up and fuck off to do something better for yourself.

You seem to enjoy telling us all straight so... just so as you know.... WE FUCKING WON MORON.... weve played many times and fucking lost in the past and we will do in future, thats why its a game, thats why its a passion!

Put a smile on it man ffs.

The harsh truth of the matter! You clearly do not understand truth. Arsenal, Stoke,Spurs and Everton away.... taken 6 points.... that is true. What is also true is that more or less the most important thing right now is 3 points, and we won them... against our local rivals...

What kind of troll are you chief?

Actually to get into the top 4 all we need to do is have more points than 16 other teams. To get points we need to win games. Ooh, look we got 3 points today. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Yes Rosco i do.

As in i see no reason why we couldnt have done so should it have transpired without the red.... mind you do you think we would have dropped two points against Sunderland at home if the goaly had been sent off and Suarez had tucked the penalty away??? or better still if Modric hadnt scored a wonder strike early doors and lifted Spurs?? Or indeed if the ref had seen the second Adam foul as accidental and not sent him off??

The lad was flying around today and would have been sent off eventually.... We kept our heads and won the game... im delighted.

My thoughts:

We won.

Liverpool are magic, Everton are tragic.
Three reasons why: -

1) It was an away match and Carroll played.
2) Everton did not employ the long grass tactic.
3) Our defenders defended.

Haha, I love these type of posts.

We will have to play to break them down.

Our team needs to play as a unit.

We will have to try and score when we get our chances.

Fascinating insight!
