Of course that's all true, but y'know, fuck it. We are where we are, largely due to negligence up to this point. We're not going to bridge the gap to the Man City's of this world by sticking with what we know, so we may as well roll the dice and see where we end up.
The cynical part of me thinks they are taking this time in order to find a new PR angle to make the move more palatable.

to summarise for you;
- I've said I want him gone as he's no longer fit for purpose.
- I've said I don't care where he goes so long as it benefits the club.
- I've said I wish him well for being a fine captain for the club for the past 8 years.
