I thought Kelly had a very good game yesterday, so assuming Magic is fit for our next game who should Kenny play?

When everyone is fit i think we've only got around 3 automatic starters and for me Magic isn't one of them.
It looked alot more like a flat back four yesterday with Enrique and Kelly supporting when they had to and dropping and tucking in when we were on the defensive. It's about as balanced and tight as we've looked in a longtime.
not to knock kelly's performance or anything but he up against the disasterous arse shaving

That's worth a mention.

worth noting that when johnson is back, even if he didn't start (and he will ;) ) he definately adds quality to bench and is exactly the type of sub that would inject pace (a big reason why I think he should start) against tired legs.
That doesn't make any sense.

On the overall question: Kelly played RB, we won and he was one of our best players. Of course he shouldn't be dropped.

of course it makes sense. I think he should start because is more attacking and his physical attributes give liverpool another dimension, what wrong with that? you may not agree with that sentiment but the sentence does make sense.

The highlighted bit doesn't. First you say he'd be excellent as a sub, then the next thing you say is "that's why he should start". It's meaningless.

suarez was excellent as a sub but should start. okay, replace the words 'that's why' with 'but'

One of Cahill biggest traits is covering space and I believe that if he joins and replaces Carra, Johnson will look like a much better player.

You seem quite convinced Carra is almost finished.

he's not finished but we definately should be making plans to phase him out, even if it doesn't happen for a couple of seasons.

Kelly is the better defender in my view.

Still needs to improve in certain aspects like closing down and being a little more physical but he's a massive prospect and is much more reliable than Glen Johnson.

Whilst Arsenal didn't threaten too much, our defence was solid as a rock yesterday.

I like Kelly as RB. He is strong. He marshaled Arshavin off the ball more than once.

Johnson can be RW as he did in Portsmouth.

id love to see him on the right wing, its one of our weaker positions and he'd be class there. itl never happen though

Considering Enrique's performances so far I would say we have four automatic starters when everyone is fit.

Pretty much, though he can be excellent going forward, I can't believe some people say his defensive flaws are exaggerated, he's been found out time and time again at club and International level. He's a very good player though when on form, but his concentration levels and positional play are piss poor at times.

I'd still like to see him given a shot on the wing, he's got pace, can cross, can take players on and can get goals. What's there to lose?

England boss Fabio Capello has revealed he is considering giving Liverpool defender Martin Kelly a call-up into the senior squad.

Kelly has established himself as a key member of the Liverpool side over the last 18 months after earning an extended run in the side under Kenny Dalglish last term.

The versatile defender, who can play at centre-back as well as right-back, has won two caps for England Under 21s and he is now in contention for the senior side.

Capello watched Kelly in action during Liverpool's 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday and he is a big admirer of the 21-year-old stopper.

"I see some players interesting for me, some new players like Kelly the right-back, he is really interesting," Capello told Sky Sports' Goals On Sunday.

"He is young and he played a good, good game."

Because we don't have enough players that could play there so we play a defender?
