They tolerate toxic players. Like a culture in any organisation. Those toxic individuals need to be cut out like a cancer, ruthlessly.
Ten Hag may well have decided that nothing less than wielding a big stick will work with that bunch of to$$ers. The problem is that wielding a big stick won't work either because too many of today's players (a) have probably never/hardly ever been disciplined in their lives before and (b) have far too much power - a deadly combination. What it all boils down to is that the whole squad needs dynorodding.

They have no Milner, Henderson types to set an example and hold people to account.
Even Shaw whose quality is a fat lazy bastard at times who prefers burgers and video games.

Whilst that’s true, it does seem that much of ETH’s disciplinary method is a bit awkward and misses something in communication. He’s a bit odd.

If, as I strongly suspect, quite a few of those wasters at ManU are simply incapable of growing up and behaving professionally whatever anyone says or does, I don't think ten Hag can be held mainly responsible for the current situation.
