skrtel is in a select group (of about 5 players in our squad) that you don't sell if you want to climb back up the table, that said if a player wants outs you sell.

So its a whoosh because a player who had 5 years left on his contract is being compared to another player who has 2 years left on his contract

I thought it was likened to rooney because he did sign a new deal, like skrtel will do, whereas modric didn't sign a new deal

I thought they wer showing examples of a)a player who wanted more money so threw in a transfer request, & b) a player who had yonks on his contract left, wanted to go and the club said no
