Ajax seem to upp their asking price as we go along. Reminds me of Simao. God what cunts.

We want 22.

Okay, we can do that, deal?

No, now we want 30.

FUCK OFF!

Time for Luis to hand in a transfer request. He took Groningen to court so that he could move to Ajax, so I don't doubt that he can do it again.
[/quote]

He lost that case mate. But yes, Ajax are constantly changing the price I've heard..

Yeah. Thats the attitude we want isnt it? A touch of Berbatov. Refuse to play for Ajax maybe also? Since he used the court to get there in the first place.... No thanks. Its their player. If they dont want to sell, respect it and move on.... I dont want the new regime to start their transfers by moaning and disresepcting the rules.

Errrrr, what?

When has ANY transfer in the last 10 years followed "the rules"?

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

Yeah, I couldn't care if he handed in a transfer request. I want him signed.

Probabbly because they dont want to sell. People were furious when Hodge was implying that we would sell Torres if the right price came in. He is ours and there is no right price.

So what rules did we bend when bringing in Reina, Alonso, Meireles, Mascherano, Arbeloa, Torres just to name a few. We played it by the book, and went on with the business. The same way which we pulled out of transfers as well.

Reading this thread it looks like we will stop excisting if Suarez doesnt come around.

No, they said that he could leave for the right price. Thats what the past week have been all about. The right price. Bent and Dzeko have not helped our cause imho.

I still think he'll sign, as he wants to move. Some say our bid is now 21,5 mill £ and they want 28 mill £. A transfer request will be easier for the fans, as the club can say we had no other choice. I'm guessing it depends a bit on how much Luis wants to move.

If we end up with Negredo for 18 mill £ instead. I'll cry for 6 months.

Absolute rubbish.

Do you genuinely think that clubs dont sound out players well before offers are made (either through agents or other players) to ascertain whether the club is attractive to them, whether they fancy a move, what their wage demands would be, etc.

How do you think clubs agree a fee and then sign complex contracts with players within 48hrs?

Also, do you think this is anything other than transfer negotiation by Ajax?

To be fair I think Ajax is doing what you would expect Liverpool to do if someone bid for Torres. Tell them that it would only take a unreal offer to let him go. And if then a club came up with a bid matching Darren Bents price you would probably demand the double....

Still what you describe is pretty much the rules isnt it? So you are wrongg regarding most transfers for the last ten years.

OK all signings seem unnaturally difficult for Liverpool then.

Re: Suarez paves the way for Anfield switch as Babel nears the exit door

Not news but Jim Boardman's analysis from twitter:

What's happening now at Blackpool and Ajax is the wait for the Coco panic. Knock us back, over and over, until we up our offer 50%.

In other words, our history of transfer dealings is that for the most part we're a soft touch - this is where Damien & FSG have got to hold their nerve and not blink.

We'll learn a lot about our new owners and Damien in the next few days.

This is a pretty good analysis tbh.
