I doubt he would go there ideally but if he is not part of first team plans in Madrid next season (which in itself I find hard to believe) and he is faced with a choice between the Madrid bench or playing for United then what should he do?
If it was between us or United I'm sure he would choose us but if we are not in for him then we can't really be saying 'well we don't want you but you'd better not go THERE'. Hopefully it won't come to that anyway and he'll either still be wanted at Madrid or other clubs will be in for him
