Spurs have also been in for him. So probably back up to Milner short term.. Eventually replacing him as 1st choice in the long term..
It is underwhelming, why I posted it. The defending at 0.40 seconds is shocking by him.
That being said he has supposed to have been one of Hull City's stand out players this season and has attracted attention from the bigger clubs in the premiership..
Could be from the Faeroe Islands or Wycombe for all that I care, as long as he's a good player and improves the team.

Yeah, as far as available local talent he seems pretty promising - good mentality, decent pace, good passer, and, crucially, has attracted plenty of praise from his managers for how well and quickly he takes advice and improves. Some have said his attitude to being coached is the best they've encountered. He's got a long way to go, but he strikes me as a fairly shrewd signing, if this is more than just a means of applying pressure on another target.

Will he be the only LB aqcuisition you'd wonder. Is it Milner + back-up or are we to bring in a more 'readymade' starter still and then use Milner elsewhere.
I'd hope there will be another signing for that position. All the way through the age groups there seems a real lack of obvious potential at left back. No one's set to rise up the ranks. I really hope we get Sessegnon, he's going to be tremendous, although I suspect he'l end up as an attacking midfielder.
Seen him live a few times this year. Definitely one of Hull's standout players (slim pickings!) Good passer, good energy, enough pace. He's solid.
He's 23, makes you wonder whether the strategy here is different to the one that saw us target Chilwell and now Sessegnon, but I'd be surprised if he was going to be first choice. Flanagan is only 24, such a shame how his career/luck has panned out following his breakout season.
Harry Maguire has also looked good for Hull this year, he'd make a good signing for a bottom-half/mid-level Premiership team. Markovic had a couple of excellent games for Hull prior to his injury as well, hopefully that's enough for him to attract some interest.

Then you've seen him more than me mate. In my opinion he's been very good attacking wise, but maybe lacking a bit defensively in the games I've seen.
If it happens maybe Klopp sees something he can work with and develop.
A good attitude is always good though, so Hopefully it can work out to be a very shrewd signing.
My meh comment was more that I expected us to buy a more stand out first teamer.
A great Liverpool team need a Scot aswell mind.
Burnley bidded £10m for him on Jan transfer deadline day. With just 12 months remaining on his current deal, I supposed the fee will be lower?

One deal that is claimed to be going ahead regardless of that all-important league finish is the signing of Hull City left-back Andrew Robertson.
This report comes via Neil Moxley of the Sunday People and therefore should be taken with a large pinch of salt.
Moxley, not a reporter with a good track record on Liverpool news, claims the deal will be announced when the transfer window opens this summer.
Again, Robertson has only a year remaining on his current deal, but there’s no fee mentioned in Moxley’s report – strange for a report claiming a deal has been agreed.
He also claims that Liverpool are “among several clubs looking to take central defender Harry Maguire when the window opens in July.”

I'd be OK with signing Robertson. He's not a world star, but (a) I don't think we need world stars at fullback and (b) I do think Robertson is good enough to improve both our current squad and his own individual game in the future.
We're not going to get any world stars regardless of position but I do think LB is important enough for us to go out and get the best we can and not some stop gap / project / bargain basement type.
We need our fullbacks to provide width - think back and reflect on how much of the ball Milner has seen over the course of this season. Loads.
We only need look back a week or so to the Juve v Monaco games to see the impact a top class attacking fullback can have. Dani Alves is a phenom but we need to aspire to that calibre of player.
How many assists do fullbacks generally have though? It seems a bit of a myth that they weigh in heavily - aside from top drawer attacking fullbacks, and then we're most likely sacrificing something defensively, on an already leaky backline.
Milner always supports the attack, works hard and overlaps and puts a decent ball in a fair amount of the time. I agree we could improve on delivery, from both full backs, but by and large I think we could do a with a full back who's alot more positionally sound and solid - which Milner obviously isn't so natural at.
Our attack when functioning, with the addition of one or two more players who weigh in, should have enough about it, without heavily relying on attacking brilliance at fullback. We could do with a bit of balance, in having one who's more attack minded, and one who is a natural defender and will tuck in and tighten the space when needs be. There's room for improvement definitely, but we need balance in that respect too.
I agree about the importance of a full back in our system, and we need a natural left back as well.
Milner has been generally good all season but in the games were he has struggled we have struggled badly.

I've yet to be convinced by him. He's got decent delivery from set pieces and a good crosser of the ball but he shirks too many tackles for my liking. Much better going forward than defending and not much of an upgrade on Moreno IMO.
One caveat to my judgement is that I saw him regularly 2/3 years ago but have only seen him 2 or 3 times this season; he may have improved on his 2015 form but on the few occasions I've seen him since it doesn't appear so.

Anyway, personally I'd look at buying a left back, defensive/domineering midfielder, a striker and a wide left forward/winger. Midfield has plenty of options, from Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Grujic (who has to figure more), Can and Wijnaldum. That's more or less two players per position, we just need a bit of steel in there.
