Are you ready to pull the lever?

Should Slot get sacked?

  • Yes, immediately if possible.

  • No, but he has until the end of the year to turn it around.

  • No, winning the league bought him enough time to see out the season.

  • No way.

  • Other, elaborate...

When Amorim lost a stretch of games, he came out and took responsibility. He didn't blame the opposition, the ball, depth etc

I've not seen a single quote from Slot where he mans up and says sorry I got it wrong.

Slot might be smarter but Amorim handled this better.

Yeah Amorim really owned up on that whole 3421 thing dead quickly.

I have a special talent. I can spot a douchebag from miles away.
My spider senses were tingling the moment I saw that picture of him with his family on the beach.
But when I saw him fucking partying with smack head Lineker....that cemented it for me.

Many of these points have already been raised in various threads by different members, but I just want to highlight what I personally find concerning:
  • Not utilizing the squad effectively and showing clear bias against certain players
  • No clear plan or sufficient trust in developing young players
  • Apparent lack of man-management ability (i.e., getting that extra few percent out of the squad)
  • Questionable track record in improving players (other than Gravy, I can’t recall another standout example)
Klopp also fielded weakened sides in League Cup matches, but he didn’t throw young players in for the sake of it. I genuinely feel bad for someone like Nallo (or even Nyoni).

Sixty thousand people paid good money to go and watch a dickhead make a point, and the point wasn't even one to make. I can't believe I've got to put with this bullshit until he gets the bullet.

They just beat Brighton with 3421.
It's not the tactics that irk me, it's the public unaccountability

Sure. Can just imagine you after 6 months of Amorim just loving life and nothing but praising that awesome public accountability.

Amorim should have been fired ages ago too. I don't think we should be looking at what goes on at Old Toilet for advice. The opposite.

Wouldn't disagree, just pointing out that it was a pretty stupid counterexample given his current resurgence after the most unbelievably shit and bleak first 6+ months you could possibly imagine.

I'd love to know if the leadership group (is that what they are called?) have been in touch with Klopp and he's indicated he'd be keen on a return. And they have pretty much downed tools until the big dog is back.

Imagine the atmosphere in the AXA today. Everyone from the DoF to the captain to the tea lady knowing he's gone out of his way to undermine everyone at the club so that he'll have an excuse when we next get battered.

If I was the DoF I wouldn't be sacking him immediately. I'd be dragging him into the canteen and knocking shit out of him in front of everyone as a warning to everyone else, then sacking him.

Been travelling for work. Missed the press conferences. How has he undermined everyone?

He picked a side he knew would get beat because he wanted to get beat because he wants to blame our problems on the squad. He's got zero humility and is the biggest fucking cunt we've ever had managing us.

So, the vibe I'm getting is that a clear majority thinks he's a dead man walking

If he was a dead man walking, he should be gone today, so I'd say only 20% think that. If you think he should be given more games, then you have to believe there is a chance to turn it around, which it looks like 80% think.

I think it's pretty unlikely but I think the international break is when to do it and by then there will be a consensus.

I think Gerry has a point, I was thinking this yesterday. Klopp would make a point somewhere about patience and everything. He's already had a bit of a pop about the spending spree.

I can't speak for Klopp but I doubt he's praying for Arne. He'll have seen this for what it is. I don't think Klopp or anyone with an ounce of integrity would buy it for a minute.

I doubt he's praying for Edwards either. I bet he has more sympathy for slot.

This right here is the Doom hanging over the heads of every single manager. He took a look at the bullshit suit roles and thought yeah, sure, let me get on the easy side of this, it looks easy. And guess what? It is easy.

The 1 thing I do agree with is our lack of squad depth - we've lacked solid depth for years, & it doesn't help when you sell/loan whatever depth left you have.

Football is more than just splashing a whole load of money on finding a quality first XI and we simply have nowhere near the strength in depth City, Arsenal, Chelsea, even the Utd's and Spurs have.

Also back to yesterday.....
If Ali were fit, Mama starts yesterday
If Jones were ever fit, he starts yesterday.
If Frim were fit, either he or Bradley starts yesterday.
If Isak were fit, Ekitike probably starts yesterday
& if Leoni were fit, so would he.

We probably win the game and everything else is quickly forgotten, probably talking about playing Arsenal in the next round.

We have 20 senior first team players, it's simply never going to be enough.
Something which sold Slot to us was him great fitness management. This season it’s been utter wank. Other than Leoni, all the injured players we have are muscular. So did he just luck out last season?

Then there is the state of the fitness of the squad. Who actually looks fit? Szoboszlai and Ekitike? Konate, Virgil, Mac, Isak, Salah all look like they can’t run for more than a few minutes and then are effectively static. Nobody actually looks fit or has any movement about them and certainly no strength. It’s like asking a marathon runner to compete against a load of sprinters in a 100m race.
