I'm afraid of Muriel. If he's given a chance to strike the ball cleanly, his shot can rip the net off, no matter the distance.

Matip is so fucking unreliable, yet so important against City, that I think even if he wanted to go with the same side he will against City that he'll leave Matip out just in case.

I agree, as I think we are going to get bum fucked pretty bad by City. Hope we go there and don't attempt any Gung ho shit as I think we could be getting something worse than the Villa result. Not looking forward to that game at all.

Problem with matip is that he takes a while to play himself into form again, makes me nervous of protecting him too much

It's the opposite. Matip comes back from injury and generally hits the ground running. Don't think that's an issue at all. He really needs to stop getting niggling injuries though. It's daft.

Oh and FAO those who gave me stick for calling Thiago a sicknote, he's not even back in training. Yeaman.

Going to have to disagree on the generally hits the ground running bit but I hope that's the case tonight or at the weekend if he plays.

Thats a new definition of a sicknote. Getting your leg nearly broken by a horrific tackle.

Atalanta played Ajax 6 days ago ...
Ajax's team is going through Rona hell ...
I hope their team is clean ...

Seems a pretty good lineup in fairness. Curious how Jones can do again and see if he can be a clear part of the team

They were tested prior to their game on Saturday, and will be tested prior to tonights game. Should be safe.

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, R Williams, Gomez, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones; Salah, Mane, Jota.

Hopefully the start of a new fab trio. Interesting to see who plays through the middle and also whether the attacking triumvirate has been inverted.

Yup everyone has been asking for it and rightly so. The only thing we can be sure of is that Salah won't be on the left, everything else is possible for that front three positionally.

Gomez is their mainman - what a player he is - but in fairness their collective strength and power is indeed their main.. ehm.. strength.

We could struggle tonight I guess.
