Big weekend ahead. Priority is 3 points of our own but at least two of our rivals are going to drop points. It would be easy to say draws in the Utd -Arsenal and Spurs - Man City games would be best but at this early stage, we have to consider the two Mancs as our main rivals. On that basis, wins for Arsenal, Spurs...and Norwich would be smashing!

I want Arsenal to draw with the mancs.... couple of sendings an injuries would be nice.

Most of all i just want us to hump Bolton.

Wolves look really strong this season, looking like they will beat aston villa today.

Would be nice for arse - scum draw and tottenham - city draw. no way will chelsea drop points to norwich 🙁 but firstly we need to make sure we win or else it means shit all

Unfortunately Utd will tear Arsenal a new arsehole, & Spurs will fold under Citeh pressure too I'm afraid.

Hope I'm wrong obv, but I'd be surprised.

quoted for truth

That run and cross from the Villa RB was class.

Villa are a totally different team this year.

We should look after our own results and the rest is a bonus.

You're right.

Winning football matches is a good thing for our football club.

United and City winning would do us a favour though. I can't ever cheer on the Manc Scum though.

They don't look much different to me. Wolves have been the better team, although Villa have started the 2nd half well in fairness.

A point i started to make four words into my original post.

It's fair enough advice for the players, but not the fans.

Supporters are always going to monitor other results.

Which is the right, and realistic answer.
If we win today it will be our best three game start for 17 years

Fuck fourth place, we're aiming for three points every game & the title until mathematically impossible. Simple as.

Agreed

Twice in one day. You're doing well

All due respect vlad, realistically the 2001 treble & 2005 European cup wins should never have happened with our squads. Fuck realism.

We flourished in Europe because we were not competing for the Premier League.

The reverse may well be true this year.

Easy now.... its game 3! Spurs just got a decent striker and Arsenal have loads and loads of good players coming back into the team and 60M in the bank.... Jesus.... its way too early to write anyone off yet.

Don't really wanna speak for Vlad, but I think he's just saying that 4th place is more realistic and would still be progress, I'm sure he secretly hopes as much as anyone that we can just keep winning and see where it goes. I just hope people don't see making 4th place as failure, because it won't be, I'm sure we're aiming higher but if that's where we end up we've achieved the minimum of qualifying for the CL.

Over the course of the season, I'm confident Arse and Spurs will drop enough points and we'll secure enough to ensure we get at least 4th. However for now, we're in a title race, therefore i hope our title rivals drop points. Those rivals are the 2 Mancs and Chelsea.

With respect, i think you're both missing my point. Utd are playing Arsenal this weekend. In the race for 4th, we have to finish ahead of Arsenal but in the race for the title, we have to finish above Utd. So while we're in the title race, i'm hoping for an Arsenal win this weekend.

I wont see 4th as failure, but without European games to play, & with a much strengthened squad, I'll see it as possibly our best opportunity for years to come missed.

Perhaps I'm asking too much, but I genuinely believe we can bring home that trophy, we have quality everywhere. The spine of our team has always been good, it's now fucking great, & we have peripheral strength too. We need some luck, but every team who wins the league does, & we're sure as hell due some in the league.

In the race for the title we have to finish above everyone, so draw's all round & wins for us are the best result.

Yes but regardless of what they do this weekend, Spurs and the Arse will drop enough points to not even challenge for the title, Utd won't. They'll be there right to the finish so the more times they drop all 3 points, the better. Fine lines and all that.
