He played 37 games last year, so Juve deemed his rehab complete. Righty or wrongly I suspect the club have concluded he's not the same player he was injury and he's not cut out for the PL. The fitness lines have probably been about maintaining some level of value more than anything. Even after missing a pre-season we all know it doesn't take six months to get fit.
