We won't find a better ball playing defender than agger (when fit) for that price. I'm with khl for this, give him another year

When (in all likelihood) he will have had another patchy season mottled with injury, be another year down the line of his contract, have wasted a year of us bedding in a CB replacement into this side, and attract a substantially lower fee? Hmmmmm, doesnt sound great.
And anyone who thinks that weve actually taken 7m for Ngog, and it isnt simply a figure to appease the Mackem fans, is retarded.
9m for a mouthy sicknote (albeit quality) centre back, is great business.

i wouldn't say sunderland have definitely accepted a £7m valuation of ngog (i'd put it more at £4-5m personally, working on the assumption that they'd have settled for £17-18m cash), but it's equally 'retarded' to suggest that it's a sound method of appeasement because it's just as offensive to their fans that they've 'spent' £7m on ngog as it is palliative that they 'received' £20m for henderson.
you only have to look at their messageboards to see that: it's not the '£20m' they're thinking about.

O-oooooo-kay; so, with that valuation (4m) why do you state in a previous post that 9m for Agger isnt fantastic if you consider the 7m grossed for Ngog? That makes no sense.
Also, youre wrong. Its a fantastic method of appeasement.
Look at every transfer in modern football and what gets quoted? The big figure.
Do people dig into "but Nunez contributed 2m of that", "but thats the figure after CL qualification, 50 league appearances and international recognition" etc, etc, etc? No.
They say, "fucking hell, we paid 20m for Robbie Keane".
