Pre Match EPL Forest (H) 22.11.25 @15:00

I know it's a team full of good players but it just looks really uninspiring, doesn't it? Is it just me?

In my mind, a home game with Szobo & Wirtz pressing like mad men, with Ekitike and Salah making great runs around the box would be lethal.

In general though - i understand the sentiment.

Wouldn't it be COVID 25 anyway?

i appreciate the correction, that’s the pedantry i’ve come to expect

Ekitike is coming back after a great performance, Robbo might be on cloud nine. I think we can expect a good performance here. Gabriel is now out until the new year - this is the time for us to keep the pressure on. Something can happen here, but it relies on us performing.

I hope VVD is getting the troops fired up.
I expect lots of desire but for the most part exhausted players. Robbo, Kerkez, Dom at a minimum absolutely knackered.

Any kind of win would be massive.

Time for Isak to deliver for Liverpool

The controversy surrounding Virgil van Dijk’s disallowed goal against Manchester City did not camouflage Liverpool’s inferiority on the day as they succumbed to a seventh defeat in 10 games. Arne Slot’s side need a sustained recovery to muscle into the title race from this position, along with a dramatic improvement in form, and opportunity presents itself with seven of their next 10 league games against teams currently in the bottom half of the table. The threat is clear from Nottingham Forest, the only team to inflict a home league defeat on the champions last season, but it is not only Liverpool’s performance against long balls and counterattacks that will be under the spotlight. It is time for Alexander Isak to show up inl a Liverpool shirt too. The £125m striker has not featured at club level for a month having sustained a groin injury when making his second start in four days in the Champions League win at Eintracht Frankfurt. Isak returned as a substitute in Sweden’s defeat by Switzerland but sat out Tuesday’s dead rubber against Slovenia to ensure his availability for next year’s World Cup playoffs. A booking on Tuesday would have ruled him out. Isak may be short of match sharpness but Slot needs the 26-year-old to deliver. Andy Hunter

Wirtz, Frimpong and the Tayto Tornado all out. Alisson might be back. Hopefully Calvin Ramsay comes in at RB rather than Jones or Szobo playing there.

Surely this will be the team now for better or for worse. We might miss Szobo in the middle but he has been excellent at RB so it should be fine as long as Jones and Macca show up. And "fine" is a low bar these days anyway

Mamardashvili
Szobo Konate Virgil Robbo
Macca Gravy Jones
Mo Hugo Gakpo

He's been chilling since the season started. Wtf?!
"Joe Gomez can play there but he has played 90 minutes twice in 2025 so if we want to keep him available longer then it is a bit of a risk to play him seven times in 22 days.

"He missed a training session yesterday as well, but we're expecting him to train today."

What a fucking joke. Starting to get pissed off with Bradley, thought the Irish were supposed to be hard nuts. This guy is made out of soggy chips.

Fuck Slot.

Wirtz and Conor Bradley both out, Conor for three weeks.

Well at least it's interesting now...

Should be Ramsay or Gomez at RB, but it'll be Szobo because this man is a fucking helmet. Not all bad though because the more he self sabotages, the quicker he gets to fuck off.

I hope it is Gomez at RB. If Wirtz is also out, we need Szob at AM for pressing. Ali back though.
