Rodgers pulling the Carroll defence when asked about Downing staying...lol.

He's so gone, if a decent bid comes in.

I've a feeling Downing's just playing to impress scouts who're watching in these two games. He looks like he's upped his game a fair bit recently. Hopefully, he's able to convince some of the watching scouts to recommend putting in decent bids for him. Not surprised if we recoup only 50% of the initial transfer fee outlay when he goes.

He said he's never told him he wants him to go, he said they discussed his future and he said Downing wants to be playing, given he's in his late 20's, so they said if a bid comes in they'll have a look at it, but if he plays as well as he has been then there's no reason for him to go.

Quit with the drama you boring, obsessive twat.

Fulham were shite but we were excellent and bounced back in great fashion after the Villa game.

Skrtel, Enrique and Downing in particular put in top performances.

Now lets smash these Stoke cunts.

Really dont think it's that. Maybe he's just more comfortable and confident now and it's showing.

Yes, a few impressive displays don't mask the fact that he's bee largely hopeless in a Liverpool shirt but credit where credit's due, he's played alot better lately.

A good jan window and we could be contenders for fourth.

What a difference a week makes. We were good today, but as I said earlier, that's as poor a team as we'll play in the league this season. It came at the right time for us and will hopefully serve as a confidence booster for Stoke.

Agreed, we did play well but how angry would we be if we defended like fulham did today?

Agreed.

Next 2 games are tough away games.

Not to be a downer on it - But if it's away then I think our 'confidence' will play right right into that shit house clubs hands.

Just watched the game. Fantastic from start to finish.

You know we've played well when the match thread is only 11 pages 😉

They were bloody awful but you can only beat what is put in front of you. If we beat stoke away then I'll start to think of a top 5/6 finish.

We played well today, we also didn't look as ponderous in midfield - was that becuase Allen wasn't playing?

Fantastic performance. Captain Fantastic took up his old habit of dictating the rythm of the game and the movement caused Fulham trouble all afternoon. Allen Gerrard midfield for us is as effective as the Lampard Gerrard midfields for England over the years...

He is very much part of the dysfunctional midfield. And his contribution is absolutely nothing. he is piss poor at the moment but he will never ever be dropped. And that is only because it could suggest Rodgers had made a bad call.

Flippity flop.

As an aside, what the fuck is the point of Robbie Savage? Why are the BBC giving him a platform to pretend he knows what he's talking about? His "expert" analysis is a fucking embarrassment.

BREAKING: The FA are set to test Stewart Downing for performance-enhancing drugs, as he manages a Premier League assist.

We were much more balanced today. Not as many square pegs in round holes.
Gerrard looked much more like his old self, and seemed much more at home playing with Lucas.
Enrique looks back to his best.
Downing looked like a proper player for almost the first time since we purchased him.
What a difference a week makes indeed.
If we do get Sturridge and or another forward with some pace things will really look up.
Five points off third, and I don't care about harping on about it, but if we had not been robbed of two points against the blueshite that would be three, not bad for a shit season

regards

I feel the same way about McMahon. It's pretty sad, but he's fucking shocking.

By the way, that 19-year-old Turkish kid, Kerim Frei, who came on as a sub looked pretty impressive. Lots of pace to burn and looked good with his ball control. Gave Johnson a challenge keeping up with his speed and changes in direction.
