Has Borini got a future with us?

I hope so too, and the form of aspas makes his loan to sunderland even more perplexing. My only concern is that I dont think he is suited to a 433. Not skilleful enough to be out wide nor skillful enough to displace the likes of sturridge/suarez...

No

Even I've scored a penalty in my time brother.

Sorry but he's muck. Well done tonight though.

Yes. He's a very good finisher - and his movement and team play is top notch too. His injuries fucked him over last year, but he can still be an active player in a team that will be playing on 4 fronts next year. He's not going to get minutes of Studge or Suarez, but he's a very good #3.

Helped beat Chelsea with a goal and an assist.

He's a young player in a strong league. I've no doubt this season will be the making of him.

Horrible feeling if we get rid hell be like rossi but without the constant fucked knees

Everyone who disagrees with me is wrong.
It's best to just accept it, and use the time you would have spent arguing, getting Borini on the back of the away shirt

No, for 10mill I'd expect better. Flog him to some poor souls for 7mill and reinvest in something better.

This.

Can anyone really see him being an important member of our team in the future? not a chance for me.

He only looks handy central in around the penalty box and thats being generous to him, he will never be ahead of Suarez or Sturridge and is certainly not good enough to play on the left or right of a main striker, we have better options already in those positions and will only get stronger there with future signings.

As Mors says get some money back for him and invest it.

I have not seen much of either, so cannot comment, but I keep reading about the "movement" of Aspas and Borini being their strong points. How similar are they in their play? Is Borini 3m+ better?
I suspect we will keep one of them and let the other go. Currently I'd like to keep Borini, but I'd like a good Cup run, so we can assess Aspas a bit more fairly.

If I was asked to describe my ideal 3rd striker, I would say it's a player who is a natural poacher (so can make a decisive impact coming off the bench when we really need to score), has great attitude (doesn't get too frustrated and discouraged when his minutes are limited), can play in a variety of positions up front and has this touch of unpredictability about him, a different way of thinking compared to most other strikers, so when he comes off the bench you know he will give you something different.

Borini is not too far off from this description. Attitude - check, versatility - more or less, although he is yet to convince on the wing, idiosyncrasy - possibly, although he needs more confidence to show it (look at Thomas Müller for an example of a player I'm talking about). The biggest and by far the most important piece is being a natural poacher – he does seem to have the makings of it, but needs to do more to prove it here in England.

I think Brendan made the right decision to loan him out to Sunderland. If he can stay healthy and score more important goals for the Black Cats, I would like to bring him back as our 3rd striker next season.

No, but I hope he keeps banging them in.

Mo money, mo money, mo money....

Quite a job description! Not many matching candidates. Last one I remember had red hair and scored a famous goal against St Etienne.

I don't think he wants to be third striker.

Borini seems like the ideal "second striker" to play with a Suarez or Sturridge type. A player that's going to be exponentially better playing for a good side than a bad one, a bit like Mandzukic or Zabaleta to that regard. Absolutely think he has a future with us, but we will be given a few chances to move him for 10M+ this summer I feel, Italian clubs seems to like him a lot.

I imagine he's on fairly reasonable wages, and for us being a club that can't afford to have Dzeko and Jovetic types as striking depth, I'd be more than happy for him to be our 3rd option.

Well... Next season, When we're smashing through Champions League rounds & going the distance in all the domestic cups, all the while challenging for the title - we're going to need a much bigger squad.

Fabio will get some time on the park.

If we play two up front, as we have at times, Fabio will flourish. The only problem with Fabio being #3 is that he's a confidence player, and being #3 its hard to keep confidence. I like him though, definitely keep him.

Hang on, Borini has scored 3 this year at least.

Newcastle, Chelsea and United

@Gerry_A_Trick! He's fucking TRIPLING HIS GOALS

*faints*
