Yeah it's got to be comparable to mean anything. That video above shows Ekitike doing all kinds of cool things and initially it's very impressive, but ultimately I'm left asking, "compared to what"?
How often does he do the wrong thing in that situation compared to the right thing highlighted? And how do other players compare? Trying to get real insight from a few clips is basically impossible. You either need stats or to just watch the player a lot. I tend to think that if Ekitike truly is brilliant at, say, making cushioned passes into teammates' paths, then it'd show up in the assists stats...
